"I found JC & Son on Angie's List. After seeing that they had all A ratings, I emailed them describing the work I needed done and asking for an estimate. Greg contacted me shortly thereafter and set up a time withing 24 hours to look at the job so he could give me an estimate. He spent about 30 min. with me talking about the work and taking measurements. The estimate was emailed to me the next day after he was certain he could get the essential materials. (He was repairing an old window and wanted to be sure he could match the size and pattern of the blocks). We decided to go ahead with the work, based on the timeliness of Greg's response, the ratings on Angie's list, and his professionalism. Greg told us he would need to wait for the weather to warm up before he could do the work, which was fine with us. True to his word, he contacted me when the weather forecast was favorable and the work was scheduled and completed within a few days of that contact. The crew arrived within minutes of when I was told they'd be there. Greg's brother was one of the men working on the job. He was very friendly and very professional, and listened carefully to what I wanted done. He had the essential materials with him so they were able to proceed without delay. They completed the job within a few hours and even hooked up the dryer vent! The work was very well done and the cleaned up after themselves. I would contact them again for small masonry work. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience.

"I had some major work done on my house this year and I went back to someone I trusted: Eddie, Manny and Mike from E&B Masonry. They did a porch project for me in 2018 and it was great. I used them again. They gave me a good price, but I also knew that they would get the job done right. They included me on each decision and checked with me through out the project. I had roofing repairs on my parapet wall where the previous owner had roofed over the limestone causing water building up. During this they found damaged bricks. They took pictures and video to show me what they needed to do. Then they did work on the outside wall where someone else I hired failed to do the tuckpointing. Finally, they installed all new concrete sidewalks from front to back and side to side. This included stairs going down to the basement. They had to pitch the concrete in creative ways and added a new drain to handle additional water. It looks fantastic. I am hiring them to do some additional jobs as well."

"My experience with 83 Masonry was EXCELLENT! We hired them to tuck-point and partially rebuild our two chimneys. They started the project on time and showed up everyday ahead of time. We have new roof and AC, so before they started any work, they have protected the roof and build protection canopy over the AC to make sure nothing would get damaged. Very professional, knowledgeable, punctual and safe. Not only were the chimneys fixed, they improved the look of the house. "Good. It took some back and forth to get the contract language the way I wanted it, but after that all went well. Alex is very responsive and professional. The masons did good work. They were not shy about replacing spalled common bricks. They grinded the old mortar to the depth as stated in contract. No shortcuts were taken. It was obvious these masons took pride in their work. Something that is getting rarer these days. I pointed out some smeared mortar on bricks and they cleaned it up right away. New bricks and mortar match the old well. They cleaned up after themselves. This is not a bargain handyman cash job. You see lots of shoddy tuckpointing in my neighborhood and it's sad. The fast cash guys don't grind the mortar down enough and the new mortar falls off after a few years. You'll pay more at AAA-1 but you get what you pay for. Masonry is an art and AAA-1 demonstrates that."
