Great job. On time and very courteous

Olsen Tuckpointing Company did a brilliant job of cleaning & tuckpointing our 91-year-old brick bungalow. We are delighted with the results and highly recommend Olsen if you need any kind of brickwork done. It wasn't a huge job, but with the home being as old as it is, we were concerned about getting it done right. The brick exterior had quite a few old mortar patches and some washed-out sections, and over the years the walls had collected a wide assortment of paint stains, hardware hangers and old screw holes. The textured, tan brick also looked pretty dingy, although we weren't sure how much was the original color and how much might be accumulated dirt. The attached pictures show the after & before of dull brown bricks cleaned to a warm, clean gold. I didn't take closeups of the repairs, but I am impressed by how seamlessly the new work blends in with the older mortar. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and professional, and I have only good things to say about them all. The estimator was able to come out quickly after the initial contact, he did a comprehensive walk-though, and he provided a clear, reasonable, and detailed estimate in a timely fashion--along with an explanation of the whole process from start to finish, so we would know what to expect. The office staff was great about getting things scheduled and making sure we knew when the crews would be showing up, the crews introduced themselves on arrival, and they were all friendly, careful, and incredibly skilled. We are 100% pleased as can be & will certainly be calling Olsen Tuckpointing when next we need any masonry work performed.

Pretty good. Only issue was that we had to go around the house with painters tape to point out the holes that they missed while tuckpointing.

Professional from start to finish and the work was done incredibly. It also was the first time I've never had to do any clean-up myself after the work was done. The site was spotless. I already have had them back out to quote more work.

The job was accurately described at what they could do and when it could be scheduled in. I was kept up to date and everything went as planned. They did a great job and cleaned up the site! I could not have asked for a better outcome.

Estimator showed up, listened carefully to what I was concerned about, took pictures, and was prompt in emailing the estimate. The Olson scheduler contacted me to make the appointment, and the workers showed up on time. The tuckpointers were curteous, completed all the requested work, which looks very nice.

They did a great Job! They were always on time. The workers ere polite and very efficient at the Job. They also cleaned up all around the house before they left. We would hire them again if needed in a heartbeat! You won’t be sorry hiring this company.. Deborah Ramirez

The experience was exceptional from start to finish.

All work completed on time , professionally, very satisfied with result. Would hire again for future repairs of same type. Price was higher than other quotes. Ken explained that Olsen is a union shop and that made it worth it to me.

Bob was great and very personable, just the price was too high.

Olsen has twice replaced the mortar on our patio steps. The first time work was completed in less than two hours, which seemed quick considering the amount of steps and price charged. About 12 months later the mortar began to crack and fall out again. Olsen completed the second repair as part of their warranty on work completed. Update: Fast forward another year, and the mortar is cracking and falling out again. Upon further investigation it was determined the problem was with the original installation of steps five years earlier by builder. Given that the original cracking started to appear two years after installation by builder, Olsen should have known this was not a normal tuckpointing job since that is their business and expertise, especially when they had to come out and redo their work under a warranty guarantee. Ultimately had to have stones removed completely and installed again with different mortar and adhesive. Olsen did not do this work as their bid was 25% more than other bid I received. I would potentially hire Olsen again, but would do my own due diligence on the potential project and not rely on Olsen for figuring things out.

Olsen did a great job. They were thorough from the initial consult to provide a quote they provided multiple options for us to choose from. My primary concern was waterproofing and tuckpointing a brick wall on the front of our home that had water seepage issues. They also cleaned up some poorly done tuckpointing from last year on our chimney which now looks like new. I would highly recommend these guys and hopefully we never need any tuckpointing work again but if we do I would not hesitate to call these guys.

The stone work on the front of our home is 13 years old and the mortar had started to disintegrate significantly in some places but not others. Tuckpointing was needed. This is at the entrance to our home so we wanted to ensure it matched and would be seamless with the existing. We are very happy with the completed work; the work quality and the color matching is very good. Olsen was very responsive and professional on our project. We would use them again. + Scheduling for estimate and receiving/returning related quote was easy and quick. + Scheduling for work itself was also easy. Given weather conditions on our appointed work date, the work had to be rescheduled for a couple days later to ensure quality/curing. + Worker arrived on time and completed the project; very self sufficient. When completed, he rang the doorbell to let us know he was finished, advised the color would look a bit off bc it needed to dry/cure, and that someone would return in a few days to clean the surface. + During that time, we noticed 2 small spots were overlooked. We contacted Olsen and they completed those 2 spots and cleaned the surface on the same day. Looks great!

Another outstanding job by Olsen. We requested and received a proposal last fall for work to be done. Proposal was easy to understand, covered all work wanted and provided on very timely basis. Early spring they delivered brick samples for our approval and began work a few days later. Work was preformed very quickly, very professionally and of the best quality. They thoroughly cleaned up each day and after completion. We strongly recommend Olsen to everyone needing masonry work. Another satisfied customer, again.

Project went well. Company responded when we called for an estimate which others did not. Jim that did our work was excellent. he was very professional, cleaned up we’re he worked, and got the job done. Will certainly call Olsen’s for future work!

I would definitely hire again. Very nice people to work with. Both Ken who came out and gave us the estimate and Joe who did the work were great. The job looks great and Joe did even more than I expected.

The chimney project went smoothly. The result of the initial work on the fireplace was less satisfying. Richard Olsen, the owner, agreed with me and had the work redone. He made sure that the end result was something that we both were happy with. I was impressed by his professionalism and the pride he took in the work done by his company. I will not hesitate to hire him again or to recommend him.

Great service by a truly professional company, Received a response asap for a rep to visit and assess my needs and an estimate response was received in a few days. A special order for the limestone caps required a couple of weeks and the company lived up to their commitment of contacting upon arrival to schedule installation. The tuckpointing was needed on the 45 year old home and the installation of the stair caps had fixed and enhanced the stairwell.

One individual did the work. They cleaned up when they were done.

The work went well, but communication with the company was poor. I had to keep calling back and emailing to find out when the work was going to be done. I was supposed to be given an estimate the next day, but I had to call to ask when it was coming. This company has won lots of Super Service awards, but I don't think it deserved them.
