"I requested quotes and met with a number of companies. By far, I enjoyed meeting with John. He was informative and thorough at our meeting. Given the information provided, and our own research, I also felt as though our values matched up nicely. So much so, that we planned on using EDI services, given the quote was reasonable. However, we were never given our quote. We were strung along by a series of emails, and then received no more responses. I have tried many times to reach out for the quote, and after that, to inquire as to what happened. Again, no response at all. Now, after waiting so long, we have to start the entire process over again, and as it is October, we essentially have no hope of getting a new roof this season. I really hope our current last through the winter. This is entire unprofessional behavior, and I grow so weary of companies that make promises and do not fulfil them. We should at the very least be treated with enough respect to be given an explanation as to why they cannot or will not perform the work."

"Fortune Restoration was amazing to work with. We had them out initially to do much needed carpentry work and painting on the fascia of our home (built in 1894). I wanted a company that would know how to handle the delicate original details on the moldings and these guys did a terrific job. Our wrought iron fence (also original) looked great after they repaired and painted it. Workmen were polite, professional and highly skilled. Some months later a piece of our siding fell off (which had nothing to do with the previous work they did). Knowing there was no way I could get a siding company to come out to do this kind of small job, I called and asked if the next time they were in the area they could give me a quote and do the repair. I received a call from the owner himself, Bob Fortune, who sent a team over to reattach the piece of siding for free for us. The job turned out to be more involved and they actually had to go get supplies come back and fix it. They still did all this still free of charge given that we were previous customers. They went above and beyond. Great customer service. I highly recommend this company and I will for sure be working with them again for any of their services."

"They took the job even though they don't know how to do flat roofs, and never at any point started that they don't know how to do flat roofs until after I called to complain about water leaking in my closet. The contract states tear off old roof and install new shingles. He did not honor the contract. He didn't reroof the entire roof, and only reshingled the flat roof. The contract and request was for a new roof over the entire house. Of the Leake he asked why it just now started leaking, and suggested maybe a branch fell on it. It did not seem he ever intended to honor the warranty. His first response was "I didn't do the back" when I called about the leak and told him the location. I requested a partial refund, and he started that he would wait till he's served -- boasting that a lawsuit will take a year."
