"My only complaint about 5 Star is the fact that they don't do anything else house rehab related other than their specialty.They are the only contractors that I have hired in 9+ years that said what they were going to do before the project started , delivered on time in a very professional manner with a minimum of disruption and dealing with a host of other things that necessitated repairing when the old driveway was removed that I had no idea was needed nor was prepared to fix. They worked with me along the way patiently while we had electrical work, brick masonary work, and landscaping , AC work . Some of whom were professionals found and recommended by 5 Star . As to whether I would hire them again I am hiring them again to do sod / stamped concrete project."

"We worked with JD from Green City Gardens to design and plant new landscaping in the front of our house. This included removing the existing shrubs, adding organic materials and planting the new flowers and bushes. In addition, JD, Doug, Carl and John removed two existing trees which had died and replaced them with new trees. The project was projected to be completed in about 2.5 days and the team achieved the target. The entire crew was excellent to work with--each provided their input and recommendations regarding plant placement. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process--from initial design through planting. JD's design was excellent and the new landscaping greatly enhanced the front of our house. Doug, John, JD and Carl worked diligently to remove the existing landscaping and planting and mulching the new plants. "From the first visit we felt Tony would do a great job for us. We had an unlevel, cracked, ugly asphalt driveway and a one-step stoop that was so high, it was scary to step down from. The melted snow ran from the driveway into our garage...that is how much higher our old blacktop driveway was. Tony envisioned a stoop with two steps for safety and esthetics and proposed the idea to us. Obviously, we loved it. Tony was there answering every question, helping us choose materials and always replied within 24 hours, which we found that completely acceptable. So we signed up! Then the work started and we were equally impressed with John who did all the supervision of their concrete team. We loved to see John working along side the crew, riding the machinery and the pleasant way he treated their workers.
