"These young men are reliable, honest and outpriced the competitors. We were very impressed with how detailed they were on staying within the boarder of our driveway and not spilling over on edges. We will hire them again in a second."

".  they replaced some broken pavers, fixed the edges of my driveway and patio, did some other repairs and leveled things out.     They cleaned all the pavers w/a power washer,  put polymeric sand down, swept it in, blew off the excess and wet it down.  then sealed (i think)
they did a really nice job, we have a huge driveway and both the driveway and patio look GREAT.  Jose explained a lot of things to  me and the owner was very responsive.  ALL the workers were neat, polite and did a good job. I would recommend them highly

"They did my snow and ice removal all through the winter and I am more than happy. Local business, punctual, reliable, great work, great customer service and communication. No matter what time the snow and ice arrived, they took care of my driveway (3 cars), walkway and sidewalk. Michael Ware tries his best to keep his customers happy and I will certainly use them again next year."

"One of the few people in the area to install dry wells. Stopping my back yard from flooding has reduced so many other problems I was having with my foundation and water coming into the house. They did such a good job I hired them for concrete work also."

"Luis took care of going to Naperville city hall to obtain the permit.
He started his work of digging up the concrete at 9AM which pleased my neighbors as they were able to sleep in as they are elderly.
He kept me informed as to what he was doing!!!!
His crew was efficient.
I am very pleased at the looks of my driveway!!!!!

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Gravel is the cheapest way to extend a driveway. Gravel is an affordable, practical option that’s easy to install and perfect for DIY projects, helping you save on labor costs. It can be quickly spread and leveled to create extra driveway space without heavy preparation. While gravel doesn’t offer the same durability or finished look as concrete or asphalt, its low cost makes it ideal for budget-conscious homeowners who want a functional solution without overspending.

If you notice minor cosmetic problems with your driveway, you should seal it. Look out for cracks and holes on the surface, faded asphalt or concrete, and stains from oil and other chemicals. Replacing your driveway may be necessary if you’re dealing with significant problems—¼-inch cracks, large potholes, and puddles from drainage issues. The cost to install an asphalt driveway typically ranges between $4,200 and $9,000, significantly more than resealing. Consider talking to a professional to discuss whether resurfacing your driveway—a midway project between resealing and replacing—is a better option for you.

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.

Cobblestone is just one of many driveway materials. Other, more economical, albeit less elaborate options include concrete, asphalt, and gravel.

If you want a material that most closely resembles cobblestone, your best option is bricks or pavers. Both cost anywhere from $10 to $50 per square foot and can be laid in all kinds of patterns. Depending on the type of paver you choose, you can also get a good bang for your buck by investing in durable natural stone.

While blacktop is a type of asphalt, the terms should not be used interchangeably, as not all asphalt qualifies as blacktop. The primary differences are in their composition, production process, and ideal applications. Blacktop contains more stone than other types of asphalt and is heated to a higher temperature during production—300°F or more—while hot-mix asphalt is heated to between 275°F and 300°F. The ratio of bitumen (a tar-like crude oil) is a key differentiator, though sources vary: some state blacktop has less bitumen, making it less durable, while others claim it has a higher ratio. Due to these differences, asphalt is generally more durable and better for high-traffic areas like highways and streets, while blacktop is more suitable for playgrounds and residential driveways. For a driveway project, it is best to consult a professional to determine the most appropriate material.
