"I have nothing but praise for H2H movers and I would highly recommend using their services. I have done multiple moves with various moving companies over the years and H2H Movers was the best moving company I have worked with. The H2H office is very good with communication. Not only did they check in before the move, they made sure to communicate with me during and after the move to make sure everything was going smoothly. The movers were very professional and easy to work with. They quickly, efficiently, and carefully completed the move. It was a tough move considering we were moving to a 4th floor walk-up and I was worried about how difficult it would be, but all my concerns were easily alleviated."

"Jayrod and Dominic were professional and great efficient workers. They introduced themselves and made sure they understood our needs, going over all the pieces that needed to be moved room by room and carefully completed the task. I am using them again to move more furniture this week."

"Very fast service. They were able to come out with almost no notice. The service received was spot on. We were promised a flat rate, and they stuck to that. They did an inventory and made sure nothign was damaged during the move. I'm happy with the service received."

"Honey Bees Moving was AWESOME! Tim and his team moved our equipment perfectly. It was a tough move with lots of stairs at both ends, and a new location that isn't on GPS completely. They took care of our equipment and both locations like they were their own. I would definitely recommend Honey Bees for any move you're making!"

"We used Windy City Movers for an out of state move to SW Michigan and couldn't have been more pleased. Dash, the owner, took a personal interest in estimating the move's cost, and working with us to coordinate activities. They crew they sent was professional, and did a super job packing and unpacking our belongings and furniture. They moved both our condo and a number of items in our storage locker. Not a single item was broken or damaged, something that can't be said for other movers I've worked with. The cost was very reasonable for a move this complex and significantly below cost we were quoted by other moving companies with five star reviews."

"I've moved before for work and other reasons. Usually moving companies give you estimates that end up being twice as much by the end of the service. This company was very close to their initial estimate when work was done. They were very careful, respectful of our house, and on-time. It went very smoothly and delivered everything on-time. There were a couple of tight turns on the stair cases which I don't know how they did but I'm very happy with their service. I've referred them to a couple of my friends already."

Moving questions, answered by experts

The cost of a long-distance move depends on several factors, including whether you hire movers, use a moving truck, and the size of your move. For a 1,000-mile move, you’ll need to hire interstate movers and ask them for an estimate based on the details of your move. Keep in mind that a 1,000-mile move will likely cost $10,000 or more.

Hot tubs are very difficult to transport to a different location. For reference, a standard hot tub weighs about 800 pounds. This job requires several people, plus the necessary equipment and safety measures to ensure a safe delivery. That’s why it’s usually best to leave it to a team of moving professionals.

It is certainly possible to move a piano without hiring movers, but it’s not recommended. Not only will you need at least four people to lift and maneuver the piano, but getting it around tight corners and down flights of stairs might not be possible without the help of movers. Plus, pianos are exceptionally heavy and bulky, which means you and any helping hands are at risk of injury, as well as an increased risk of damaging your piano. Ultimately, it’s always worth it to call in a professional piano mover.

Deciding whether it's worth it to hire movers depends on your budget, patience, and physical capabilities. It's difficult to gauge the amount of work that moving calls for, and it's easy to be off by about tenfold.

If you're able to call in some favors and round up friends to help, you might get through it just fine, but if you only have a few hands helping, things can quickly get overwhelming. Either way, bringing in the pros will save considerable time and stress, so if it's within your budget, it's a great investment.

On average, it may take around three to five hours to complete the process of moving a hot tub, from disconnecting and draining it to actually moving it. The time required for hot tub moving depends on various factors, including the tub's size, accessibility, and distance to the new location.
