"We recently hired Sealcoat Masters to replace our home driveway, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Mike, the owner, provided a prompt quote the day after our initial contact, and we quickly approved it due to its affordability. The team obtained all the necessary permits from the village, and as soon as they got the green light, they scheduled the work. The end result was amazingâ the driveway looks stunning. The team's work was exceptional, and Mike was great to work with. We highly recommend Sealcoat Masters for their excellent service and beautiful results."

"As a property manager I’m always looking to add local small business guys to my address book. There’s times when I need to get something done quickly and smoothly. I got the information for Presco Asphalt Services from a buddy of mine and I gave them a call. Mario was able to come out that same day to look at one of my apartment buildings parking lots. He went over different options that would work for what I needed. We decided on doing pothole patching for that particular job to make the parking lot nice and level and discussed doing some asphalt patches and sealcoating in the for a different lot. His team was able to come out the next day and take care of business. They were very efficient and thorough. My maintenance guy was very impressed on how they worked he said they worked quickly and made sure everything was picked up and sectioned off and did a walk through with him afterwards. I will definitely have them come out for more projects in the future. Mario is your go to guy!"

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you don’t need a permit to repave your driveway, although some exceptions exist. If you’re widening your driveway and plan on widening the apron as well, you’ll usually need a permit from the Department of Transportation in your area. This permit costs between $50 and $300 in most cases. Most municipalities will also require a certified and insured contractor do the work relating to the apron and curb cut. You can contact your building department or ask your paving company if you need a permit. Your driveway professional will usually pull the permit for you.

A pallet of pavers will cost about $300 to $700 per pallet. Each pallet covers about 56 square feet. The specific price you pay per pallet of pavers will depend on a few factors, including the type of paver you’re buying, the size and shape of the pavers, and how many pavers you need. In some cases, you’ll spend less per pallet if you’re buying in bulk for very large paver patios.

Think of the street as a way to capture all the elements on either side of the road, including the road—a street encompasses the homes or other buildings, the trees, and the road of a given area as defined by the beginning and end of the street on a map. A roadway, however, is the component of the street where cars travel.

Gravel is the cheapest way to extend a driveway. Gravel is an affordable, practical option that’s easy to install and perfect for DIY projects, helping you save on labor costs. It can be quickly spread and leveled to create extra driveway space without heavy preparation. While gravel doesn’t offer the same durability or finished look as concrete or asphalt, its low cost makes it ideal for budget-conscious homeowners who want a functional solution without overspending.

Decomposed granite and caliche can both harden into a solid surface using a plate compactor. However, due to decomposed granite’s fine particles, it’s not suitable for driveway surfaces. Some homeowners use pea gravel mixed with a gravel-binding resin to bind the loose stones and create a solid surface that won’t shift like loose gravel.
