My team and I have performed several jobs from plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and HVAC. With over 10 years of experience in home remodeling and repair, let us help you complete your next project.

"It didn't go. We originally scheduled the appointment for May 31st 3PM. At 3 PM no one showed. I sent a text to the owner Michael Wheeler at 3:15 to see what happened. He explained that another project was running long and asked if it was okay to come between 5:30 and 6 PM. I said okay even though I had to cancel other plans to accommodate this new time. At 6PM rolls around and no show, no contact. I text and call at 6:20 and no answer or response. I cancelled a business meeting to accommodate this new time because i have other furniture coming and really needed this mirror hung before then to make space. Still no call, no show. Nothing. I am very unhappy and disappointed in the lack of professionalism and curtesy. I do not recommend them to anyone."

"This was amazing! I had no idea this service existed. After searching and contacting various repair places for my washer, this was the most cost effective option. I figured if it didn't work, my machine is old and I would be out $40, not the $100+ to have a tech come out and just diagnose the problem. I am pretty handy and my washer is old anyway, so if it is broken, I have to get a new one anyway. My tech, Steve, was great! He predicted what was wrong after listening to the machine, calmly walked me through dismantling the machine and when we got down to the motor, he was right! He sent me a link to the part I would need, and let me know to contact them again if I needed help installing it. My machine works even better than before it broke, its beautifully quiet and efficient. I will definitely be saving this company for any future repairs on appliances I may need. The service was $40 + the part cost, which was about $8."

I work primarily in service plumbing for residential and commercial properties. No job is to big or too small. I have worked as a service plumber for over 15 years and have seen people receive very poor service. I wanted to open my own shop so I can provide the kind of service I want for my family and friends and not be pressured into selling more than is needed.

"All we needed was an estimate."

Eco Build Co. is an eco-friendly construction company that takes a responsible approach to build new structures and renovations on existing ones. We use energy-efficient materials and technics with lower carbon footprints, among many other sustainable resources including super insulation, heat recovery ventilation, combined with the latest in environmentally-friendly methodologies so our clients and city can be free of pollutants. For our clients, we build a healthier home with constant fresh air and overall more comfortable and lower utility bills. For the community, it means less waste and harmful materials introduced into our environment.

"I hired EcoBuild to work on two projects. The first project was smaller and Mike the carpenter came out and did a wonderful job. He was pleasant and you could tell he was experienced. Normally when I have a good experience, then a bad experience, reviews are balanced out. I know things happen and generally I give the company the benefit of the doubt. However, in this case, EcoBuild’s behavior and performance was so bad, nothing could bring it above 1 star. The company was hired to replace a window, install new drywall on a ceiling and wall and replace some trim. My initial project manager Jeff (who quit before everything went down hill) was responsive knowledgeable and very friendly. When Jeff left, everything started going down hill. My next project manager was Jeremy who was probably the worst person I have ever dealt with at a company in my entire life. For the weeks leading up to the project, getting a straight answer from him was impossible. I would ask him 3 or 4 questions and consider myself lucky if he half replied to one of them. In no less than 10 attempts I could never get a confirmation whether the correct window was ordered. It got so bad that just before work was to begin, I called the company and said I would cancel the project if he was my project manager any longer. Jeff came out and said Mike would take over. Mike is a nice person but very overwhelmed. I can only imagine it is due to conducting damage control for shoddy work. On the first day, the crew showed up without a window. In fact, they didn’t have any materials or even a truck to carry materials. They left for Home Depot and several hours later showed up with the materials strapped to the roof of a SUV. I was very busy with meetings that day so the crew installed the drywall and I didn’t give it a detailed look until they left. I was in shock! There wasn’t a single full sheet! They cut every piece of drywall and there were gaps that ranged between 1/2” to over 1 inch between the sheets and the walls. They actually cut the drywall around the baseboard trim rather than removing it! Clearly the crew had never hung drywall before. Ultimately, I had them remove all of the drywall; no amount of taping and muding was going to make that look good. The window was the only remaining item and I was hesitant on even having them do that work, but they agreed to send Mike (the previous carpenter) out to install it. As mentioned earlier, I still didn’t have confirmation it was the right window. The next day Mike showed up with… you guessed it Jeremy. Mike was pleasant as usual and just before demo was to begin I asked to confirm the correct window was ordered. We walked downstairs. The window was in Jermey’s truck so I walked over while Mike did something else. To my surprise, Jeremy said “stay the **** away from my truck.” That was the final straw. I asked them to leave after a very heated screaming match in the middle of the parking lot. Management Is totally inept and made no effort to reach out despite several calls and emails describing my bad experience. I suspect there must be so many that there just isn’t time to address all the complaints. I still haven’t received my money back. Not only is this company totally incompetent, but I classify them as thieves for stealing my money. At best, they must be hiring their labor off the street without any reference checks. At worst, this is their regular crew. If you want to take a risk and hire them, at least insist you make the deposit on a credit card so you can dispute it."

"On April 23, 2025, S and J Plumbing was contacted to fix my father's garbage disposal and broken pop-up assembly. My father is 80 years old, disabled, and speaks English poorly. The technician (Brandon) first tried to sell him a membership for $99/year. My father declined. Then Brandon looked at the garbage disposal and pop-up assembly and determined that they both needed to be replaced. He went over options and my father said that we wanted the cheapest stuff. Brandon then presented my dad with an estimate of $1950, which seemed excessive to my father. But, he is not a handy guy and did not know how much the parts cost and so he agreed to it. Brandon finished the work in about two hours and my father paid him. After he left, my father called me and we looked up all the prices of the newly installed parts. The new 1/2 HP Insinkerator Badger 5 has an average retail cost of approximately $150. And after physically looking at the assembly he used, I determined that it was around $30. The breakdown of the costs according to the invoice were: Insinkerator install and parts: $1239 Pop-up install and parts: $739 Senior discount: -$25 If you subtract the retail costs of the parts, then the total paid for labor is $1770. Divided by the two hours he was there, S and J Plumbing charged $885/hour for labor costs. Even if the parts were double retail ($300 disposal and $60 pop-up assembly) the hourly would still have been $795/hour. I called S and J Plumbing and asked Joe, the service manager, why the costs were so high (because my father doesn't know any better). He told be that those were the costs in the "book" and did not specify what book. He also refused to discount anything further because already gave a $25 senior discount. We feel that S and J Plumbing took advantage of a senior citizen who does not know any better. In doing further research about S and J plumbling, we can clearly see that this is their standard operating procedure."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Yes, most states require plumbers to have a license, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Before finding the right plumber for your job, there are a few questions that you should ask, including:

  • Are you licensed and insured?

  • Do you charge for estimates?

  • Is your fee a flat rate, or is it hourly?

  • Who will do the work? Are they all licensed and qualified plumbers?

  • What happens if any breaks or damages occur?

  • What is your response time in an emergency?

  • Is cleanup included in the quote?

  • Do your services come with a guarantee?

Discussing these questions with your plumbing contractor will help eliminate future issues and clarify expectations.

Before your plumber pays you a visit, it’s a good idea to clean up any boxes, garbage, or other obstacles that could be in their way. In addition, it’s best practice to clean the area that needs to be inspected or worked on, like a toilet, for example. Make sure to keep kids and pets out of the way once the plumber arrives.

Answered by Angi Experts

Typically, plumbing repairs cost about $325 per job but can range from $175 to $4,000 or more. Simple fixes, such as a toilet repair, will be less expensive at around $150 to $400. However, if you have a pipe that has burst, you can expect to pay between $1,000 and $4,000 or more.

The project that needs to be completed, the size of your home, and the type of plumbing pipes you have can all impact the final cost. External factors such as supply chain issues and shortage of materials all play a part in how much this repair might be.

Answered by Angi Experts

A faucet replacement vs. a failed waste line flooding a finished basement would be at opposite ends of a very broad spectrum. "A plumbing repair" could range from perhaps a $150 minimum service charge up to tens of thousands of dollars for a substantial repair and associated cleanup, finish work, etc.

Answered by Dave Beck at Classy Craftsmen LLC in Cincinnati, OH on 01/09/25

Plumbing repairs can be complex. Often there is damage or breakage in areas that can't be seen without being examined thoroughly. Plumbers will investigate the issue and then let you know what to expect.

Answered by Lee Sentell at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of South Orange County in Southfields, NY on 01/06/25

Prices can range from $60 to $20,000. Many factors determine the cost of a plumbing job. Things such as the cost of materials, size of the home, the difficulty of the job, travel time, contractor liability, would walls or floors need to be opened and repaired. All these factors and more can greatly affect the cost of a job.

Answered by Glenn Durand at Flat Rate Services Charlotte in Indian Land, SC on 01/13/25

Plumbing costs obviously vary from job to job. You can expect to pay anywhere from $225 - $400 for your average repair of a faucet or toilet. Frozen broken pipes are a much more difficult item to put a price tag on. The best course is to try to correct it as soon as possible: These tend to get worse rather than better, which means more costly. You will obviously be paying more for after hour emergency services, but time is of the essence.

Answered by Tony Coscia at TC Plumbing in Orange, CT on 01/10/25

The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays, and emergency plumber rates average $150 per hour, in addition to a flat-rate trip fee of $100 to $350.
