"This company’s name is appropriately reflected in their competency, integrity, professionalism, and value they provide. My new home’s furnace has been having the same problem for the last two winters, and I have had the builder’s subcontractor, and two other HVAC companies try and fail to resolve condensation issue that prevents the furnace from running. Top-shelf showed up and resolved the issue which turns out to be an installation flaw. Chris took his time explained the issue and the options to repair it."

"I live in a old house and it comes with a few unexpected events every once in a while. I was lucky to call Five stars the first time i needed help. They always have been amazing. Quick, efficient and reasonable. Ray is honestly the best contractor I have ever hired. I wish all companies took as much pride as Five Stars Plumbing in their work."

"Jim called for a much anticipated service call. The brand new part was installed in our kitchen sink in less 30 minutes. Looking at the big picture, we went from $800 - 900 for a new faucet unit to $296 for one brand new part, overnight air, and Jim’s service call and labor. Me thinks I have a new plumber❗️🤙🏼"

"Mike arrived on time and completed all of the work requested in half of a day. He was respectful, dressed appropriately, and cleaned up after the job. He did more than what was expected of him. We think the bids for the jobs were fair and better than the others we received. The price we paid was exactly the bid estimates. We intend to hire him in the future and will highly recommend him to family, friends, or others who need Mike's expertise."

"My wife and I wanted to build a home on our property but didnâ t have the budget to build the main house. Nate worked with us to simultaneously design the off-site improvements to accommodate all future buildings and the first build of a garage with an Additional Dwelling Unit (ADU). The build process became protracted due to financing challenges which required modifications to design and schedule. Nate was very helpful in managing the build in a way that allowed us to complete the permanent financing of the build. We are very satisfied with the finished building and are enjoying settling in to our new home. The Springers"

"Two furnaces replacement plus yearly maintenance. This company is the gold standard for the HVAC industry in this valley, or any other valley. Great service, great office admin support, great employee attitude, top drawer approach, reliable, on-time. You name it and they get a 5 star rating. They REALLY are that good. I trust them and so can you. Easy is a rarity in the HVC world. They really DO care."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

You can draw your own house plans using three-dimensional modeling software, but in most cases, you’ll need an architect to draw up the final plans. Architects understand local building regulations and requirements, so their plans will be necessary for getting permits approved, and they’ll also ensure your home is structurally sound. DIY house plans can be a good place to start to help visualize your project, but you should always defer to a professional before trying to proceed with the project.

Depending on what the blueprints are for, a qualified draftsperson, contractor, or architect can draw them up. In some cases, including specialty permitting for a build, you may be required to use a licensed architect.

In many cases, a blueprint drawn up by a certified professional is required before a city or municipality approves a permit.

Designs typically take 2-6 months, depending on factoring, project size, and customization needs. Larger or more complex designs may require additional time for approval and revisions.

Custom homes can take an average of 18 months to build, mainly due to the lengthy design process, and most projects take somewhere between 12 and 24 months. When you work with the right custom home builders near you, they can help you map the road ahead and understand what can speed up or delay the timeline. Choosing locally available materials, for example, can speed things up without losing that customized touch.

Dekton is worth the money for homeowners who want a nonporous countertop that resists heat, stains, water, scratches, and UV damage. It comes in a wide array of colors and patterns at various price points to suit different renovation budgets. Dekton is not worth the cost for homeowners who are particularly worried about chipping or cracking.
