"They are very clean, work quickly, always told me when they would be shutting off the water, and happily completed work I added the same day including installing a new shower/tub faucet system and valve. Everything is working perfectly!"

"These guys were awesome, everyone from sales to the installers were laid back and professional. There weren't any gimmicks and they had the best quotes and install timelines. Hands down the best experience we had. We had a new A/C, Furnace and water heater all done in 7 hours."

"Not good. The water leaks had caused black mold that had to be repaired. When repairs were completed 3 months later, the valves still leaked from the stem when turned on. It was past 60 days so I had to pay another $100 service fee to have the water leaks fixed. He tightened the packing and quoted $350 to replace the valves. Sheesh."

"Overall, I was satisfied with the service and I would use them again.

They told me they would arrive between 8:30-9:30 and they showed up at 8:45 and were done about an hour later. We went over everything I needed done and they warned me about some problems areas that might not get quite as clean as I might hope. I don't have high quality fabric on my sofas, and so milk, water, throw/spit up has left water marks on them from my toddler. They warned that the marks might still be there even after cleaning. They said the same thing about the carpet since I have two dogs. This was not my first time having carpets & upholstery cleaned so I was prepared for the warnings.

After the couches were cleaned, alot of water marks showed up and they took off $45 from my total because they felt bad. But when the sofas fully dried, many of the marks went away. The cushions looked alot better than before they started, and they smelled clean too. Like I said, I don't have high quality fabric on them, I wasn't expecting them to be in new condition, but the guys worked really h****** trying to get them as clean as they could.

I have no complaints about the family room carpet or stairs. They look great and I love knowing they have been professionally cleaned. They also moved my sofas, which I wasn't expecting or even asked, and that was an added bonus.

The tile in the 1/2 bath got cleaner. I was expecting them to look nicer than how it turned out, but it was only $20 for that room. My husband was much more satisfied than me. I guess I wanted my white grout to look very white again."

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

Whether you need a license or permit for water softener installation depends on your location. Some municipalities require the installer to hold a plumbing license, while others may only require a permit and an inspection. In some cases, both a permit and a licensed installer are necessary, and some areas have no requirements at all. Often, only certified plumbers and electricians are allowed to pull the necessary permits. To find out the specific regulations in your area, you can contact your local building department. Alternatively, a local water softener installer or plumber will be familiar with the requirements and can typically pull the permits for you. Regardless of local laws, it is always recommended to hire a licensed professional to ensure the system is sized and installed correctly. You can use tools like Angi’s state licensing tool to verify an installer's license status.

You can use a commercial water repellent treatment for glass on your shower doors to prevent water spots. Take care to only apply the product to glass. Letting air circulate also helps prevent water spots, as water is less likely to remain on the glass for a long time with good air circulation. Run your vent fan, open a window, and leave the shower door open for about half an hour after using the shower.

Water softeners have many benefits. The most important one is converting previously hard water—water with too many minerals—to more usable, easier water. When we say easier water, we mean water that’s easier to digest, less harsh on skin and clothes, and builds up less in the water system. Softer water may lead to lower energy costs and will extend the lifespan of all appliances that use water.

Hard water doesn’t hurt, but it might feel more abrasive, especially if you have sensitive skin. It’s also about how your skin feels after bathing. You might feel as though you have a sticky film over your body because you do—it’s all that soapy residue left behind because the hard water can’t rinse it off completely.

Soft water is better for your hair. The minerals in hard water can dry out hair, make it brittle, and leave a film on the hair and scalp that may cause irritation. Hard water also doesn't rinse out shampoo and conditioner effectively, which can lead to product buildup that makes hair look dull and limp. You may also find you need to use more shampoo to get a good lather in hard water.
