After going over our three options, we decided to replace both the AC and furnace based on the age of the system and the cost for a temporary repair. Monday AM the installer arrived, worked all day, and installed the system."

The provider is skillful and did a better job on fixing the leaking shower knob than two other providers that quoted me a much higher price and much work involved like cutting into my dry wall.
However, we did not discuss about the pricing up front for the cost to search for a place to put a water shutoff valve.
It took a over an hour. It was not clear to me how much was for the change of fixing the shower knob and how much was for the other things.
