The other two roofing companies I never heard back. Braswell Construction contacted my insurance company and worked out all the details. A week later I had a brand new roof with gorgeous colored shingles. Everyone in the neighborhood stopped by and literally knocked on the door to inquire. Chris Gaugler was onsite and available for questions anytime to the very end. The crew only took one day to do the house, extended 4 car garage and well house. "This company is completely unprofessional. My husband and I chose them cause they were the cheaper option and found out the hard way that’s not always the best choice. When they came by for our scheduled date they left without ever talking to me to explain anything for after care. I have weeds sprouting up and they never came back for their construction cones. We have a 5 year warranty and when I called them up to discuss these issues on 3 different occasions I was told someone would come out and that never happened. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company and I strongly urge no one to go there. My husband and I will definitely need the job re-done in the next couple of years. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THEM!"

"We hired Performance Energy to air seal our attic and add additional insulation. Their representative provided a clear explanation of their process and provided a thorough assessment of our home's energy concerns. I had already done a lot to the house, so I was pleased to have a second set of eyes evaluating my work. They arrived with a crew of four, three were in the attic for several hours sealing all the gaps and cracks between the attic and the living space. They also used a thermal camera to check for leaks in my HVAC ductwork that was in the attic - prior to insulating. Once all the sealing was complete, they proceeded to add additional insulation throughout the attic. The only snafu was their generator died. We looked at the electrical connections and found the brushes in the motor had overheated and melted. It took about an hour to get a replacement generator and they were able to finish the project. Other than the generator - things went smoothly. I would definitely recommend them if you want to make your house more energy efficient. Don't add extra insulation until you have air-sealed!!"
