Great experiance start to finish. Very professional installer, they were prompt, courteous and left the job site neat and clean.

It went great. I made plans for the shutters to be installed, getting a quote and asking for the contract. Soon after getting the contract, I got cold feet about hiring a company that had not personally been recommended to me. Also, we were ordering from a distance on a rental property so we wouldn't be around to see the job completed. However, after sharing my concerns with Rose and asking for more time, I received a call from Steve who put my concerns to rest. He answered all of my questions and gave me some assurances. The shutters were installed and look great.

Excellent response to my original call. Arrived on time. Analyzed the problem and fixed on the spot for minimum trip service of one hour. Very pleased with his knowledge and personality. Would definitely recommend and would use again.

The 2 gentlemen were professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. They took time to show my wife operational techniques which will help lengthen the life of our shutters. I had used other Shutter Companies in the past. Custom will be the only Shutter Company we will utilize in the future.

The installers was on time, polite, hard working, and was a perfectionists, simply exceptional!  We were very, very impressed with Mike's installation. We have never seen such clean job, there was virtually no dust anywhere afterwards. He was awesome and really did a fabulous job!

Removal, and reinstallation went very well.  The technician was polite, knowledgeable, and very detailed oriented.

Excellent customer service and installation from entire staff.

The project went well.  Jim came out and completed the job in 6 hours.  He neatly bundled the shutters for reinstallation in the future.  He made helpful suggestions for new hardware, when we decide to replace them.

We were not there. They did it while our building was being repainted. Everything is working well.

They took a long time to deliver the product and I felt the price was too high.
Not exactly certain about the date of service.  It was sometime before the hurricane season of 2014.

Upon receiving my initial review of his services, Mr. Steven LoPresti, owner, took the time to call me personally to inquire about my review.  His interest was my reasons for the opinions stated in my review.  He was genuinely interested in what I had to say and did not attempt to bully or berate me. He expressed regret that his company had not met my expectations and made restitution.  

Because of the care, concern and character Mr. LoPresti demonstrated in attempting to improve his services by seeking feedback from a customer, I am changing my review to read YES, I WOULD USE THIS PROVIDER IN THE FUTURE.

Everything went like clockwork. I was impressed by the quality of the shutters .
So much stronger than a neighbor's who had his installed by a different company about the same time frame.

His extremely professional and courteous installation team arrived on time and performed a highly accurate installation of the 3 roll-up hurricane shutters, which are approximately 12 feet wide by 10 feet tall. And at the end of each day they meticulously cleaned up the work area and neatly stacked their tools for the next day. The custom installation included their (patented?) application of stucco to all exposed aluminum surfaces, including an aluminum enclosure which encapuslated the workings of all 3 shutters providing a seamless cover which perfectly blended with the immediate surroundings. All exposed surfaces were then painted to match the stucco of the surrounding area. And the texture of the stucco and the color of paint were perfect match! My 3 new storm shutters were adjusted to line up exactly with each adjacent shutter, and they work perfectly with my new remote. And they look fabulous with the workings all hidden by their custom enclosure!!!!! The quality of materials and installation was simply incredible, and all for a price lower than the nearest competitor!!

Technician conducted troubleshooting to discover problem. Found broken wire, reconnected and tested repair for completion of solution to problem.

Steve arrived on time to quote the work. He spent time showing me how the existing shutters worked and suggested a different method of securing them in the open position.
The shutters were built, delivered, and installed sooner than expected. New retention system installed on the existing shutters as well.

We thought that the provider was very professional. Because he was the owner and salesman he was very knowledgeable about shutters in general, and did a great job with the installation.

This was just the most recent project by them.  I first met Mike about 6 years ago  and had them do some service on existing hurricane shutters.  Since then he's done several repairs and installed some new shutters when we remodeled. They are quite reasonable in pricing.  They are very responsive for service calls.  Before dealing with Custom Storm Shutters we used another company from St Augustine for installation and service, but that company was horrible. 
I think a good measure of any contractor is the  professionalism and qualify of the work that might be done by their subcontractors.  We've also used two excellent contractors that worked with Mike on one of our projects.  We've used his electrician for several projects on two homes, and he's always done excellent work.  We're about to replace our deck and install new siding using a remodeling contractor that Mike recommended.  That will be the second job he's done for us.

I have nothing but HIGHEST PRAISE for CUSTOM STORM SHUTTERS, the owner STEVE, and his EMPLOYEES.
I am a retired widowed homeowner. Having no immediate family nearby, I have to contract out most of my home services and home repairs.
I have dealt with several contractors. Many who have not been customer driven.
That is why I was PLEASANTLY SHOCKED upon doing business with CUSTOM STORM SHUTTERS.
I am getting too old to put up hurricane panels, and wanted to upgrade to accordion shutters. I could not afford to install accordions on all of my windows at once. A couple of years ago, I hired Custom Storm Shutters to install accordions on a few of my windows. I was so impressed with their attention to detail, pricing, and service, that I recently contracted them again to do remaining windows....and was equally blown away on both installations.
