"If you need your septic tank pumped this is the guy! Casey does excellent work and is fair on his price. We had a drawing of where our septic tank should be, but weren't real sure where to find it. He worked diligently and was able to locate it. Despite having to tackle a yellow jacket nest he maintained his great sense of humor and completed the job in a timely manner! Would highly recommend him."

"All in one septic was amazing. From the fist conversation with the owner I felt very comfortable that the job was going to done quickly and well. The team that work on the sum pump was very knowledgeable and did the job very quickly. I already hired them back to clean the septic tank which was also a 5 star success. I would recommend All in one septic to any anyone that is looking for a professional, trustworthy and well price company for all your septic needs. Thanks again for the excellent service. "Discovered a hole in the yard near septic tank when it was time for the tank to be pumped. Bowen's pumped the septic tank and diagnosed a collapsed outlet pipe as the problem. I received a no-pressure quote for the repair. Bowen's returned about a week later and completed the repair. The price I was quoted, was the price paid. There were no surprise charges and the work was done quickly. Gabe and David arrived timely both times and were courteous and efficient."

"Before I found Eddie's, repairs were always a gamble, many times they could not figure out the problems at the other service stations, Eddie always figures out the issue the first time and has performed the work properly everytime, I will never use anyone else for my car repairs.

"Went well. Great customer service. I noticed that my new toilet can shift a little bit at the base. That isn't something that a experienced with the old toilet. But overall, I'm happy. Also keep in mind that there is a dispatch fee of $69 additional to the angie's list cost. That's something that I wasn't aware of when I ordered."

"Tommy and Slappy did the best they could but had old and broke down equipment. The septic tank was in a difficult position near the back deck and had not been pumped out in 27+ years. They ended up cutting my internet cable and cracking the cement lid to the septic tank with repeated whacks with a sledge hammer to loosen it. They discovered more solid sludge than expected so raised the price to $1250 from the initial $540 estimate. We may not have incurred this extra pain and cost if I pumped the tank every 5 years."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Unlike an urban sewer system that runs wastewater into a central drainage system, septic tanks are a house-by-house system. They are the ultimate destination for all your house’s wastewater—from bathtubs, showers, sinks, toilets, and washing machines. Wastewater flows into a tank buried in the ground outside your home, and then water runs from the tank to a drainage field using sloped pipes.

DIY is not recommended due to safety and technical requirements. Hire professionals for accurate diagnosis and repair.

Septic tanks and cesspits are both types of sewage and wastewater systems, but they differ in key ways. The main difference between the two systems is that septic tanks separate sewage from wastewater and allow the latter to flow into a drainage field to filter and disperse into the soil. Cesspits don’t have outlets and instead, store sewage until it needs to be pumped by a professional.

Yes. A metal detector is one of the quickest and easiest ways to find your septic tank. However, metal detectors can be too expensive (costing upward of $300 in some cases), and not everyone has a metal detector just lying around. If that’s the case for you, you can also take a long metal rod and poke it into the ground at regular intervals until you hit something—likely your septic tank lid.

While dry wells can be effective for managing rainwater, they have several disadvantages. They can become clogged with sediment, especially after large storms, which reduces their effectiveness and can be difficult to clean. Dry wells are also not suitable for all soil types; they will not function properly in soil with low permeability. Additionally, if a dry well is not large enough to handle the amount of rainfall in your area, it can overflow. For gravity-flow models, the water may disperse very slowly, depending on the well's depth and the soil's permeability.
