"ArborForce was one of two tree companies that I contacted for an estimate to remove three large trees. Their price was the same, but I was particularly impressed that their estimator was a certified arborist. They removed the three trees very efficiently with no damage to the surrounding area. Their cleanup was 100%. Thank you to Justin, Bryan and the rest of the crew!"

"Great job! Removed two tall Magnolia trees and a huge Poplar Tree, all way too close to my house. Trimmed other trees and cleaned up my yard afterwards of all the tree branches and tree trunks. I would recommend Frank and his crew to take care of their tree problems. "Thanks Guys!" Phyllis Dahlonega, Ga"

"The crew from Silver Axe Tree Experts did a great jog pruning limbs on several tall mature trees on my property. They also removed a tree in my front yard that was leaning out over the street. They took great care to avoid damage to my house and power lines while working in tight spaces. I was impressed with their expertise and teamwork."

"These guys were great. I hired them to take down some very large dead trees and clear a bunch of nasty brush, vines, and fallen trees along my steep creek bank. It was certainly not a very attractive job. I was pretty impressed at their ingenuity and skill at cutting and extracting the trees from the creek. They initially thought it was a 2 day job, but they brought a crew of 6 and knocked it out in one day working past dark to get it done. I paid them in full, thanked them, and sent them on their way. The next day in the daylight I was kind of disappointed in the end product, not terrible, but still a lot of small loose brush and vines on the ground and ruts from the bobcat. I contacted Alberto and he immediately sent 3 guys back out to do some rake and shovel work for a few hours to dress up the area and get it looking good. These are friendly, customer service oriented people with a good work ethic and integrity. Highly recommend."

  1. If there are no online reviews, ask them for referrals. If a tree removal company is reputable, you won't be their first client. It's perfectly acceptable to ask for references on your initial call, and if a removal company won't provide referrals, it's time to move on.

  2. Find out what equipment they use. Some types of tree removal equipment are better than others, and a removal company might need special tools to get your particular job done. On your first conversation with a prospective removal company, make sure that you clearly express the nature of the job you want accomplished and receive assurances that the company has the proper equipment.

  3. Consider all of the costs. Always ask for an estimate up-front. Inquire about the job itself and any potential hidden fees that you might not be aware of.

Word of mouth and years in the business.

Helpful?

Tree service projects in Buford require ongoing maintenance, including annual pruning for young trees and periodic trimming for mature ones. Seasonal inspections help detect pests or diseases like oak wilt or bagworms early. After storms, promptly check for damaged or hanging branches to prevent hazards. Regular mulching, watering, and soil care support healthy growth and keep your landscape looking its best year-round.

Helpful?

In Buford, unexpected costs during tree service projects often include fees for required permits, extra charges for working near power lines, and stump grinding. Homeowners may also face additional expenses for hauling away debris, repairing lawn damage from heavy equipment, or restoring landscaping after tree removal. Emergency tree removal after storms can require specialized equipment, so planning ahead for routine maintenance helps reduce surprises.

Helpful?

In Buford, the humid subtropical climate brings heavy rainfall, summer storms, and occasional ice, all of which affect tree removal and trimming schedules. Wet ground after storms can delay equipment access, while high winds often cause emergency tree damage. For best results, schedule major tree service projects during late fall through early spring, when trees are dormant and ground conditions are typically more stable.

Helpful?

Completing tree service projects in Buford can significantly enhance your home’s value and curb appeal. Healthy, well-maintained trees offer shade, improve energy efficiency, and create a welcoming first impression for buyers. Removing hazardous or overgrown trees increases safety and can ease insurance concerns. Consistent professional tree care also demonstrates proactive property maintenance, making your home stand out in the local real estate market.
