"He put in 3 different new outlets for me and replaced one of the bad ones in my backyard. He is very professional. He showed up on time. He did deliver what he promised me. He cleaned up after he finished the work. I am very happy hiring him to do my project. I will definitely recommend him to anybody who needs to find a good reliable electrician."

"Outstanding. I noticed the other day that my front porch light had dropped out of the recessed receptacle and was hanging by its wires. I quickly contacted several electricians from Angie's list and only heard back from two of them. Both were pleasant and helpful. One could not get to me for about 7-9 days. The other (Phaze Electric) had me on their schedule the next day. Jerome showed up early and quickly assessed what was needed. He obtained the necessary part from Lowe's and was back in a flash to remove the old housing and install the new one. I also used Phaze Electric a couple of years ago to hang ceiling fans on my back porch and they did an excellent job then, too. Phaze Electric will be the company I call in the future for all my electrical needs. I trust them to do a great job at a reasonable price."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Ocoee, you can safely replace light fixtures or standard outlets if you turn off the power and work with dry hands, which is important given Florida’s humidity. Secure outdoor outlets before storm season and check for corrosion, especially in older homes. Never attempt repairs involving pool wiring, electrical panels, or any signs of burning smells—these require a licensed professional familiar with local conditions.

Helpful?

After finishing electrical projects in Ocoee, ensure all permits are finalized and keep documentation for insurance or future resale. Clearly label your updated electrical panel for storm preparedness, and test GFCI outlets monthly due to high humidity. Schedule annual inspections, especially if your home is over 30 years old, and replace surge protectors every 5-10 years or after major storms to maintain protection.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in Ocoee enhances comfort by ensuring reliable air conditioning during long, humid summers and supporting features like outdoor lighting for year-round gatherings. Upgrading kitchen and bathroom circuits helps manage high humidity and modern appliance loads. Adding whole-house surge protection and backup generator connections provides peace of mind during frequent summer storms, which are common in Ocoee neighborhoods with mature trees and older homes.

Helpful?

In Ocoee, electrical panels—particularly older models—often require upgrades to handle modern demands. Outdoor outlets and landscape lighting are prone to wear from Florida’s storms and humidity. Pool and spa wiring needs regular checks, especially in neighborhoods with mature landscaping. Kitchens, bathrooms, and home offices may need additional circuits, while garages and patios are vulnerable to moisture and temperature swings, making routine inspections important.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Ocoee can boost your home’s value and appeal, especially in neighborhoods with older homes needing code updates. Electrical panel upgrades, GFCI outlet installation, and whole-house surge protection are attractive to buyers and may help lower insurance premiums. Modernizing your system also reassures buyers that the home is safe and ready for Florida’s demanding climate and frequent power surges.
