"I had a little cubicle set up, and it was aggravating. You could hear through it and it was just a mess. But Jeff Dixon with JW Drywall came in and framed me walls from scratch and insulated them and put drywall up and textured and painted them. All I can say is he was very efficient and it turned out beautiful. From start to finish I was 100% satisfied and if I need these kind of services again I will be using him. Highly recommend him for all your drywall needs."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Regular inspections, repainting, and avoiding moisture exposure help maintain integrity.

A common cause of separation between a wall and the ceiling is truss lift—this can happen to the ceiling of rooms directly under the attic when the seasons change and wood building materials dry out, shrink, and shift. Roof trusses often dry out at different speeds, and if the bottom pieces dry out faster than the top pieces, they can shrink and pull the attached drywall away from ceilings and walls, causing cracks. Fortunately, truss lift is only a cosmetic problem, not a structural problem, and you can fix it by separating the ceiling drywall from the roof trusses, and patching the cracks.

Through expert matching of texture and paint for an invisible repair.

Depending on how much adhesive was used as well as the strength of the adhesive, you may have some drywall damage when removing a mirror. You can typically repair most drywall damage if it’s small by sanding the damaged area, applying spackle to smooth the damaged section so it’s flush with the rest of the wall, and repainting the area.

It doesn’t matter which way you lay drywall, and you can choose to install it horizontally or vertically depending on the size of the wall and how tall the ceiling is. It’s easier to lay drywall sheets vertically if you have a taller ceiling, but laying sheets horizontally makes it easier to apply joint compound.
