"Christian was able to handle my projects in a professional, timely, and efficient manner from start to finish. He responded to my posting within an hour of posting he called and gave me an estimate. He arrived on time and he was even early. I had dimmers, ceiling fan, security cameras, shower water filters, mounting 75" tv and thread the wires in the wall and install aucoustic walll panels."

"Ronal was excellent. Got the job done well and ahead of schedule even though it turned out to be much larger than anticipated. He did such a good job that we hired him to do the interior painting and he exceeded all expectations with that project as well. If I ever have interior work needed again I now know where to go RPM Construction. Thanks Ronal. You rock!"

Customers say: True professional

"How fortunate I am to have E&M provide professional repairs to my home interior. All aspects of service from initial contact and quote to finished project were top notch. Donna provided an immediate quote and set appointment about one week out upon request for my home and kept as promised. Everardo arrived and reviewed every single part of the project with me. I cannot emphasize enough his work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction. As the project evolved we agreed on each portion and Everardo obtained my verbal approval before completion of each step. I was so thrilled with his work ethic which was uncompromising and beyond difficult to find in today’s world. His empathy and compassion for his customer is personally driven and will lead to continued success. Many thanks to E&M and I will be a return customer."

"I hired Travis to complete multiple jobs at my senior citizen Mother's home. The best word to describe Travis is Phenomenal! He was totally professional in every way, and most importantly honest and trustworthy. He arrived on time, did quality work and showed expertise with all of the work we needed completed including: gutter cleaning, tree trimming, drywall repair, painting, sidewalk power wash, and mulching - all at a reasonable price. My mother literally raved about his hard work and specifically mentioned his professionalism and kindness. What a gem of a handyman ! He can do it ALL."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

If you plan on heating your garage, you must install a vapor barrier when drywalling the garage. A vapor barrier protects your garage from frost and mold that can occur through condensation. If your garage is unheated, you don't need to install a vapor barrier. The only exception is if you regularly crank the heat in your car before getting in it. In this case, you may still want to install a vapor barrier, as your car can heat your garage.

When doing a DIY paint job, it can be tricky to achieve the perfect, straight line between your wall and ceiling. There are several methods, including lining it with painter’s tape and using the “cut in” brush tactic. Some homeowners choose to apply a thin line of caulk to the wall-ceiling seam to create the appearance of a perfect line.

There shouldn’t be any gaps between your walls and ceiling. These can be fixed with joint compound but that is only a fix, and it’s much better if your drywall fits correctly in the first place. Sometimes gaps can appear if your foundation shifts significantly but if this is the case, you have a much bigger problem than patching drywall.

You can paint over plaster, but repair any damage to the plaster first, or the paint will crack and bubble. You should also prepare the surface of the plaster to accept paint, which gives your paint job the best chance of looking good and lasting a long time. Before applying the color you want, apply a coat or two of primer. Additionally, use latex paint, and choose a latex paint with a satin finish for areas with dampness, like bathrooms.

Ceiling-mounted curtains won’t damage the ceiling if they’re installed properly. Using the right anchors or securing the brackets into joists will ensure the curtain weight is properly supported and prevent damage. However, overtightening screws, using weak anchors, or repeatedly removing and reinstalling hardware in the same spot can cause cracking or sagging over time. In that case, you might have to call a pro for ceiling repair.
