"Vern does a great job . He is reliable, takes pride in his work, is easy to work with and does a great job. He has painted the entire interior of my home including the kitchen cabinets as well as exterior shutters and doors and I couldnâ t be happier. Heâ s also reasonably priced. I will always use him for my painting needs."

"Two years ago, Garry Stidham restored the exterior of my badly neglected Haile home I had recently purchased. Today, it still looks absolutely perfect! The home had no matching interior doors. I purchased solid wood, six-panel, unpainted interior slab doors and had Garry prime, paint and install these new doors. As with every project, Garry executed the job to perfection!!! The doors were fitted, then sprayed with two high quality primer coats and two final finish coats and finally installed. They are beyond beautiful!!! He changed out all the hinges and door knobs as well as the door stoppers. He also fixed one of the door frames which was previously crooked. Now, all the doors are beautiful and functional. Of course, I had several other items he took care of. Once I have him, I don't want to let him go! As always, only Garry works on my home!"

"The name Ortiz Exceptional Painting does not begin to describe the superb, meticulous, absolutely AMAZING work that Oscar and his team performs. In every single area if I could rate their work it would be 10 on a scale of 1 - 5. They go far beyond every think they promise. They are punctual, extremely courteous, meticulously detailed and very pleasant. The absolutely truth is that Oscar far SURPASSES anything that he promises. One example of his expertise is that half way through painting my kitchen cabinets Oscar questioned whether I was happy with the look of the finish. He suggested he Get a different paint finish and he did just that. In addition he painted my cabinets with the new paint all over again two more times. Let me tell you I am an extremely thrifty person. I shop sales with coupons. In truth I would have paid Oscar much more than he requested. You can not go wrong with Oscar. I HIGHLY recommend him ,!!!!!"

"You just don't get service like this anymore. First, they stayed in constant communication through Angie. All questions were quickly and thoroughly answered. They were able to get us in on our schedule and arrived on time every day. They covered everything to prevent paint from getting on the wood floors and carpets. They did walls, ceiling, trim and doors at a reasonable price. The work was very professionally done. We are very happy with the results and highly recommend this company."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

If you’re painting your home or monitoring a job as it’s being completed, squash the issue ASAP if you notice paint is getting onto the roof. Keeping it clean is one of the keys to extending your roof’s life.

Removing latex paint before it dries is much easier and lowers the risk of damaging your shingles (more on that below). Simply spray the spot with a hose for one to two minutes to clear away the drying paint. In general, this is a good way to remove ugly stains from your roof without using chemicals.

Professionals use safe, efficient methods that protect surfaces and prepare for new finishes.

Numerous primers on the market will do the job of covering peeling paint. The best primers for peeling paint are bonding or adhesive primers that essentially glue the edges of peeling paint back to the subsurface while providing a smooth, even surface for the new paint coat.

Yes, you can pressure wash epoxy floors, but you must take precautions to avoid damaging the surface. While most epoxy floors can be cleaned with a mop, you might choose to pressure wash if the floor is stained, has ground-in dirt, or is covered with mold or mildew. To do so safely, first soak any stains or dirty areas with a gentle cleanser. Use a lower pressure setting with a gentle nozzle, such as a green, white, or black tip, or a 45-degree angled tip. Keep the spray nozzle at least 18 inches away from the floor to protect the surface. Using a surface cleaner attachment or a rotary scrubber can also help prevent overspray. Be cautious if using a power washer that heats the water, as the combination of heat and pressure may be too powerful and could damage the epoxy coating.

Sometimes you can get away with simply sanding and painting over small areas of peeling paint. However, the problem will likely return quickly, and the ridge between old and new paint will be visible. If you just need a quick fix and won't worry about appearance, chip away the peeling paint as much as possible, prime and paint the area, and skip the spackle step.
