"Javier and the team did a great job. I hired Terra Pavers to redo my pool deck and a large paved are in my back yard, they were very professional, on time, reasonably priced, great customer service, and went above and beyond to make sure that the job will come out perfect. I highly recommend Terra pavers, thank you so much guys!!"

"Excellent response and follow through. Attentive group and determined to get job done as to my wishes. Time and cost was underestimated due to yard needing more than originally thought. Drainage pipe, filling, grading, sloping and sod added. Great job and Bruce is a delight to work with. He responds quickly to calls, mail, etc, which I find rare these days! Highly recommend. "Jecer was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. He is honest and genuinely seeks to provide customer satisfaction. The price provided was extremely competitive. I sought out 6 companies and received 5 quotes. Jecer was not the lowest bid, but provided more expertise and experience than the lowest bid. The job that I had was on the smaller side and was around 250 square feet of paver and retaining wall. The existing vegetation removal, new paver install, and retaining wall install only took 3 days. The quality of work completed, cleanliness of the area during work, professionalism and helpfulness of the staff, and overall price provided a value for this project that I doubt could be matched by anyone else I talked with. The crew was very open to discussions about the work and how things would look in the end. In one instance one of the crew installed the wrong pipe for the sprinkler system and as soon as Jecer arrived to inspect the work, he immediately corrected the pipe installation to ensure a longer service life of the paver system. I am very happy that I chose to work with JV lawn. I would absolutely recommend JV lawn for any landscaping and patio/paver project in the future."

Customers say: True professional

"I hired M&G to trim a large, overgrown oak tree in my front yard. They did a superb job, and I was very happy with the results. I expect to hire them again for a variety of other landscaping projects. Prices are reasonable."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

There are some instances when you can use extra drywall in your garden. Ideally, unused scraps of new drywall are best for amending soil without the concern of additional chemicals or mold. However, drywall with paint, mold, or potential asbestos requires specialized disposal by a professional and should be kept out of your garden.

A half inch above ground level is ideal for metal edging. This provides enough depth for the edging to hold in place and enough height to keep in most landscaping materials (like mulch or gravel). If you install edging too high off the ground, it will stand out from your landscaping and pose a tripping risk. If you install it too low, your ground cover won’t stay in place.

During the fall, you’re likely to see foliage in stunning shades of orange, red, yellow, and brown. These colors emerge because of a seasonal decline in the pigment chlorophyll that makes leaves green.

Consulting your local university extension, Audubon society, or municipal urban forestry program are all good ideas when choosing a tree to plant. You can also ask an arborist or a knowledgeable landscaping company for advice on good trees to plant.

If you don’t like the way your empty drainage ditch looks, reach out to a local landscaping professional to discuss your options. They may be able to liven it up with plants, stones, bushes, or other decorative elements. You can also add your own landscaping, but you should first make sure that it won’t block your ditch or prevent it from operating effectively.
