"The owner of D. R.’S Lawn Service came out and gave me the most reasonable estimate. He explained everything that he was going to do to my lawn. He couldn’t come out until 5/18/2021 which was fine with me. He took out all the dead grass and replaced it with new sod. They bagged all the old grass and then showed me the end product which was perfect. He told me if I had any problem call and he would take care of it. That is a 10 star review in my book. Jim Sharp"

"Look no further than Cornerstone for your paving or stone wall installations. From first call to last paver laid the entire team was exceptional. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer care would be difficult to match by any of their competitors. I should know, I initially chose another company that talked a good game, but failed to deliver. So learn from my experience and hire the best the first time, Cornerstone!"

"Javier and the team did a great job. I hired Terra Pavers to redo my pool deck and a large paved are in my back yard, they were very professional, on time, reasonably priced, great customer service, and went above and beyond to make sure that the job will come out perfect. I highly recommend Terra pavers, thank you so much guys!!"

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can absolutely transplant bushes instead of removing them completely. The success depends on the size of the bushes, their age, and the transplanting season. Ideally, transplant during the dormant season (late fall or winter). Dig out the entire root system in one piece, fill the new hole with fresh soil and mulch, and water thoroughly after planting.

A window flower box should be deep enough that there’s room for a wide selection of plants and the required amount of soil and gravel. Standard flower boxes are 8 inches deep and 8 inches from front to back. Larger is better to increase the variety of plants in the box, but you could run into stability issues as it increases in weight.

Most experts recommend a quarter-inch layer of compost for best results, and you will need about .77 cubic yards of material per 1,000 square feet. To measure how much compost to use, take the square footage of your yard and multiply it by .77, then divide that number by 1,000.

By definition, gardeners are experts at designing and maintaining outdoor gardens. Their job duties extend far beyond choosing the right plants for the area, which in itself is a job—they also help maintain the health and well-being of the plants. Gardeners work independently or for landscapers, nurseries, or horticulture design companies.

The duration of a lakefront landscaping project is determined by its scope, environmental conditions, and weather impacts. It often takes several weeks to a few months to complete.
