I have waiting a long time to write a review because I believed jose would come and fix the work he did. Well he never came back to fix anything. I paid a lot of money to remove and install new grass in the front of my house. He came to my house with brown dead grass in a trailer and told me it would all be green in a couple weeks all I needed to do was water it. So I watered and watered and watered after three weeks I sent him photos of all the patches and bald areas and he said he would come fix it but never did even after texting and calling multiple times it’s already been a really long time and I was hesitant to leave a bad review but I have no choice at this point.

At JBF Lawn Services, we pride ourselves on honesty and hard work, and I want to ensure that we address your concerns thoroughly. I want to remind you that the Bahia grass installed on your property was chosen by you after Jose sent out photos and conducted a FaceTime call to confirm before the purchase. You mentioned that you wanted a low-maintenance grass that didn't require frequent watering. While Bahia sod meets these criteria, it is not the most aesthetically pleasing option compared to others. When you contacted Jose about areas of the grass not growing or having patches months later, he offered to lay down more grass at his own cost. On the day he was ready to deliver and install the grass, he contacted you, but you informed him that you would call him back. Unfortunately, Jose never received a call back until this month, one year later. In fact, he made several attempts to reach out to you and had the materials ready to install. Most of our clients usually opt for higher quality sod such as Palmetto, Saint Augustine, or Zoysia. These options may be worth considering if you are looking for a more aesthetically pleasing lawn. We are committed to resolving this issue to your satisfaction."

Jose was quick to respond and the work was completed within 24 hours of my inquiry. He did a great job removing overgrown tree branches that were leaning on our roof. Because that was the most urgent work needed, we realized there was much more landscaping and weeding needed that we will be hiring him again for additional maintenance. He was not the least expensive but the quickest to respond and was very helpful and professional and kept his promise. He also made sure the roof was free of debris when he was finished. I would recommend this company.

The best way for me to describe my experience with JBF landscaping is to copy and paste the text I sent to him this morning. Jose is a “nice guy” who is among the most unprofessional landscape contractors I have ever encountered. Jose: As you have: 1. Promised work that was never done; 2. Promised work on a given day and not shown up for it; 3. Overcharged me for tree work which was not was completed and when completed doesn’t look all that good; 4. Do not reply to texts with inquiries regarding work needing to be done; 5. Done sprinkler work I did NOT ask you to do, and ignored the work I DID ask you to do; 6. Shown up at my home on drugs; 7. My property looks worse now than when I hired you while you charge 40% more that your competitors. I have no choice but to let you go. A copy of this email will be sent to Angie’s List and you will be reviewed accordingly. Don’t walk - RUN away from this embarrassment to professionalism. Just shows how unreliable online ratings can be!

Our company takes this very seriously. I would like anyone and everyone who is reading this response to please understand it is all false. This customer did not want to pay his final invoice. This customer also took advantage of a small family owned business. All screenshots and invoices will be sent to Angi."
