"They seems very professional at first but once they get your money, good luck trying to get them to do anything. My project was delayed over and over again because they kept on giving excuses. I recall speaking to them on a Thursday afternoon regarding some drawings and when I showed up the next day, the whole office was moved with no notice. While in the middle of my project I sent them 2 updated drawings and all they had to do is review and sent back but never heard from them til this day. I can go on and on but thank God I was able to complete my project without them. I would definitely not recommend them."

In answer to my motivations, I prefer small manageable projects with quick turnaround times and more personal contact with clients . I have made many friends recently through their projects. I don't have staff so every decision, every drawing sheet is my responsibility to my clients needs and those of the community in which the project is being built such as local zoning and State Codes. My fees are around 4% of construction cost but can go up to 8% if engineering is required (Structural, HVAC, Civil, Electrical). I can help determine a client's construction budget prior to any commitment on her part. I do not charge for initial contact nor determination of the scope of work (what we call programming). I give the client a professional fee proposal prior to signing any contract. I use American Institute of Architects (AIA) contract documents which are time proven and I will employ a specification writer if I feel a particular part of the work is of concern or unique in any way.
