"I had several unexpected challenges... and had it not been for their warehouse of products I would be without flooring, waiting for Covid-19 restrictions to lift... not only did I find a floor I liked better, but also a better quality. They really went above and beyond to insure my project was completed, with excellence."

Small jobs welcome

"Joseph Sari is a very skilled and professional floor installer, amongst other talents in home improvement. I had a half-finished tile flooring installation that was left undone by an amateur. Joe was very positive and upbeat about the work, despite all my belongings being in the way as he worked through each room. He not only cleaned up the mess left behind, but turned my condo into a professional looking installation of tile flooring and baseboards. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a thorough and carefully installed floor!"

"The Yeager team is professional and thorough from the sales rep Mike, to the crew that cleared out the house (Anthony) and Ron that laid the floor. My floor was damaged by water and had to be removed, the floor leveled before any new flooring could be installed. They are efficient, timely and willing to keep the customer informed during the process. I would recommend them to everyone who is looking or a QUALITY job done. I will call on them again to do my bathrooms."

"I manage the Grande Riviera in Sarasota Fl. The 8th floor penthouse had water damage in kitchen which had wood floors. This is an 8,000,000 unit. Alex was hired the remove the damaged flooring, and replace with marble tile. Alex was on time, honest and treats your home like its his. He is a perfectionist when it comes to his work ethic. It doesn't matter what size job big or small he will get the job done right, the first time. I highly recommend him for your next job. Thank you, Chris Griffin, Bldg. manager at the Grande Riviera"

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

If you’re doing a full bathroom remodel, the flooring will go in before the vanity and any other bathroom cabinetry. This will ensure that the same floor is present across your whole bathroom should you ever tear out your vanity and start again.

If you can only budget for one or the other, you can still replace just the vanity in your bathroom. Just keep in mind that if you decide to replace your flooring later, you’ll need to tear out the vanity to avoid having mismatched floors.

Removing laminate flooring is fairly straightforward compared to removing other types of flooring. The planks click and lock into place, so you can pry them loose without much fuss. If you plan to reuse your flooring, you must be careful not to damage the plank or the locking mechanism that keeps it in place. If it’s in good condition, you can reuse it in another room.

What a buyer prefers usually depends on the home’s layout and which material fits the current aesthetic. The local real estate market can also dictate these desires to some extent, as do the buyer’s personal preferences. With that said, laminate can increase the resale value of a home by a tiny bit, whereas carpet does not. Hardwood increases the resale value by the highest amount.

Berber is a loop pile carpet known for its strength, durability, and distinct looped look. It can be made from a number of different carpet materials, including nylon and wool. However, Berber isn’t as soft as cut pile carpet, so it isn’t the best carpet for a bedroom (although it’s a good style of carpet for living rooms).

With that said, if you really like the look of Berber, you can still install it in your bedroom—it just might not be as comfortable on your feet as cut pile carpeting.

Some root cellars are made with concrete, but a dirt floor may be better for your crops' longevity. Dirt can help maintain an appropriate temperature and humidity level, while the concrete might suck up all the moisture. Dirt floors can also bring down the overall cost of your root cellar. But, if you’re going with a dirt floor, make sure you properly insulate between your house and the root cellar.
