"Excellent product, excellent service. Granite garage floors has a two day process. 1st day they grind your floor, seal all cracks and then apply epoxy that includes a vapor barrier. They then cover the floor completely with flake to the tune of 40 lbs. the next day they scrape off excess flake and then seal the floor with polyaspartic coating which protects against UV. The floor shines, is never slippery. Spills wipe right up never staining the floor. The price is very reasonable in fact doing this DIY after renting and buying all the equipment and supplies would cost as much or more. Highly recommended."

"Suncrest Flooring Has gone beyond my expectations. They had to begin by tearing up my original wood floor due to water damage. The floor was cleaned and prepared with Excellence for my new hardwood floor. Not a speck of old glue left. My new floor was put down with great workmanship focusing on direction, piece placement , and overall showcasing the beauty of my new hardwood. Gene is a talented, hard-working, professional, and knowledgeable man. He knows his business. He and his crew work together as a team. They are dependable, polite, and respectful of your home. Gene is easy to be in contact withâ ¦..he answers his phone! Suncrest Flooring stays on the job until itâ s done to customer approval. Imagine that ! It is done right the first time. HIGHLY recommended. Donâ t hesitate for a minute to hire them ."

"After the excellent work ‘The Builders’ did on my bedroom floors, I returned with another request. My vision was to get a customized rustic headboard and frame. My vision was translated and taken to another level!! We worked collaboratively to create a beautiful unique piece: a King size floating bed. Which through this experience I learned that it’s actually not floating and very secure!! The finish and coating was customized to my liking and turned out even better than I imagined!!! To my surprise, he over delivered and built it in one evening. Above all, I have observed a true craftsman!! I highly recommend “The Builders”due to their professionalism, quality in technique, customer service, and reliability."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

The cost of new flooring materials depends on the type of flooring, its quality, installation method, and additional features. While some options, like solid hardwood flooring, may be more expensive than carpet initially, others, such as vinyl and laminate, offer more budget-friendly alternatives. Ultimately, the overall expense can be influenced by factors like longevity, maintenance requirements, and desired aesthetic, making it essential to consider the long-term value of each material.

A laminate floor will lift if it hasn’t been installed with the proper expansion gaps around the room’s perimeter. Laminate flooring naturally expands and contracts when indoor temperatures fluctuate, and without adequate room for expansion, the planks can lift off the subfloor. To avoid this, ensure your flooring installer knows to leave the proper expansion gaps.

The correct method to fix bubbling carpet depends on the cause. If the bubbles are caused by moisture, drying out the carpet can help flatten it. Otherwise, a pro might need to restretch or reinstall the carpet to fix the issue.

Laminate is a sturdy material that lasts 15 to 25 years if it’s properly maintained and isn’t damaged. Laminate with a higher AC rating lasts longer than laminate with a lower AC rating. For the most longevity, put laminate with an AC1 rating in low-traffic areas and use laminate with an AC3 or AC4 rating in high-traffic areas like entryways.

Yes, you can mop hardwood floors with a damp flat or string mop as long as it is not soaking wet. Always avoid leaving standing water or fully soaking your hardwood floors, even if they are properly finished. A slightly wet mop, with or without cleaning solutions, will not damage the wood.
