"Steve responded to my initial request within 24 hours. He was on time for the first review of flooring problem, was able to schedule the work to be done 2 days later. He leveled the floor in my mobile home then returned to relay the carpet. Laminate flooring is susceptible to expansion and contraction during temperature fluctuations. In the summer, laminate flooring is more likely to expand, possibly giving it a crowned or warped look. In the winter, when temperatures fall, the flooring can contract, revealing gaps between the boards. This is normal and should be expected when you install laminate flooring.

A 65-oz. carpet is good, and in many cases, it indicates a premium carpet. Most carpets for homes should fall in the range of 40 to 60 ounces for face weight. If a carpet has a 65-oz. face weight, it is likely more durable and long-lasting than a similar carpet with a lower face weight. Carpet face weight is just one factor in determining a carpet’s quality. 

It depends on what’s important to you. For instance, if you’re looking for the lowest-priced carpet material, consider polyester. Alternatively, you could go with olefin (also known as polypropylene), another synthetic carpet material that costs about the same as polyester. Otherwise, if durability is the priority, nylon or wool would be a better choice.
