"Mr. Lorenzi was very helpful during the initial stage of the project, giving us valuable advice on where to buy the tile for both the shower and the floor. He mentioned that 2X2 tiles for the shower were less likely to cause slippage. He and his crew arrived on time on the scheduled start date and arrived at that same time for the rest of the project. The final product was perfect, with the shower including a niche and a small bench."

"I was very pleased with Stephen's work.  Stephen gave me a detailed written estimate prior to the work.  He was courteous and the work was done in a timely manner.  He was also flexible in his payment arrangements.  I could not pay the full amount at the time of service.  He allowed me to make two payments.  I would highly recommend Stephen for any household work.

"Gift Remodeling had to come back behind another contractor, and fix a lot of things that they screwed up. I had 3 other contractors give me estimates, and all of them pointed out the same things that were done wrong. In the end, I'm very happy with the work they did, and how it turned out. Very professional, easy to work with, reliable, upfront, detailed, worked very clean, cleaned their mess, plus what first contractor left behind."

"The entire team at National HomeCraft earned 5 star rating starting with Kathy who responded right away on scheduling someone to come to our home for the free consultation. Followed then by Jeff Beback the representative who explained each step of the process to renovate our 30 year old shower. Demolition and then reconstruction with a beautiful acrylic shower was seamless with the work crew Scott and Brandon. They were punctual, hard working and very skilled at removing the old shower and installing the new. And we saved thousands going with National HomeCraft versus our first quote!! Overall an excellent experience start to finish!!"

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

The cost to frame a 2,000-square-foot house can fall anywhere between $14,000 and $32,000. This price can increase or decrease depending on what type of framing you choose, the quality of the materials, the project's complexity, and whether you decide to hire a professional to do the job.

The primary parts of a house that need framing during construction are floors, exterior walls, interior walls, and the roof. The framing in these areas provides the skeleton for adding other materials over the top. With walls, for example, contractors can hang drywall over the interior walls and siding over the outside of the exterior walls. Proper framing ensures a sturdy house that is built to last.

Building a barndominium means converting a barn into a house. Barndominiums are becoming popular as spacious and stylish alternatives to typical housing structures. Old barns that become houses traditionally consist of wooden construction. However, newer structures, such as pole barns, often contain metal exteriors and roofs. Converting a metal outbuilding into a house presents an excellent opportunity to create a barndominium from metal.

Professionals ensure precise alignment and durability, critical for structural integrity.

Yes, a one-story house can have a load-bearing wall. The load-bearing walls in a single-story home are usually the exterior walls. If the house has a basement with exposed walls, the arrangement of the beams can help indicate what walls are load-bearing.
