5 star service all the way! Did all the work and then some. Did the house, pool deck, pool cage, driveway, and sidewalk. The house paint looks new now! Did extras "while I was there anyway" - the decorative rocks in front (they look great now) the brick retention wall outside along the pool deck ( it looks new now!) and the postal box post (it looks new now too)

Yesterday Garry (GS Painting) replaced my front and back entrance door hardware, corrected a problem with mold in my skylights, and touched up some smudges in the paint on my interior walls so that they look new again. Once again I had an extremely positive experience with GS Painting. Whenever I need help with painting, carpentry, fixup, or general maintenance, Garry is the first and ONLY person I call. Not only is he reliable and very professional, but he does top quality work in whatever I ask him to do. I have used him 3 or 4 times since being fortunate enough to have found him on Angi several years ago, and he NEVER DISAPPOINTS. He is knowledgeable and resourceful, always figuring out the best way to solve a problem. He is thorough and does not take shortcuts in order to finish the job--he stays with even the most challenging of tasks. He takes great care and pride in his work, and rightfully so. His prices are competitive and in my opinion actually under market prices in light of the top notch quality of his work. In short, I would never hesitate to call on him for ANY assistance with home improvement. GS Painting is truly THE BEST!

Last month Garry pressure washed for us for the 2nd time. The fact that we hired him again should probably tell you all you need to know. He does a very good job, meticulous and thoughtful, and we'll definitely hire him again.

If you are a perfectionist and want a job done that will exceed your expectations, hire Garry Stidham! I recently purchased a 40 year old home in Haile in need of much exterior repair. Garry repaired the deck, fence, screened porch and finally all of the rotten wood on the home itself. He was very knowledgeable with regard to materials and paint needed to restore my home to its former glory. Most of the rotten trim and fascia was replaced with Hardie Board which was cut to laser precision. Rotten lap siding was replaced with new pressure treated wood, which he primed before being installed on the home! No one else would go that extra step! After extensive preparation, the home was painted. I cannot explain how happy I am with the final painted results of my home. His abilities with a paint brush on the edges, trim, windows and doors are nothing less than perfection. I could go on and on, but simply stated, Garry will be the only person I will have working on my home.

I hired Garry to repair and paint the exterior of my home last year, and I was so impressed with his work that I called on him again this year to do a smaller carpentry/ paint job inside my home. He responded to my call in his usual prompt and professional manner, provided a very reasonable estimate, and returned to do the job at a time that would accommodate my scheduling needs. His work is FLAWLESS. He carries out meticulous preparatory set-up, taking special care to protect my property, and he does a thorough clean-up afterward, leaving my home actually in better condition than he found it. In completing the project he devotes careful attention to every aspect of the job, as well as offering practical suggestions for future upkeep/maintenance that are extremely helpful. Gary came to the rescue in a closet disaster. One of the closet rod supports had broken and pulled out of the wall in the main bedroom, threatening to dump the entre closet’s contents on the floor. The only place available to put the closet contents was on my beed which was needed for sleeping. Gary quickly made emergency repairs to hold the rod up for the weekend and was here bright and early Monday with the materials to make the fix permanent. I am confident that the rod supports will never give way again. His carpentry skills and painting skills are excellent. The finished product always looks very good and the manages to do any job without creating a mess. He cleans up what little dust and debris he makes and always leaves everything better than he found them.

It is always a pleasure having Garry work on our house! He just helped with a front porch redo by painting the door, trim and touch up. As always, he did an excellent job, and he was very conscientious in his work. He painted our home eight years ago and was able to fix the massive peeling paint and rotten wood issues. I know that peeling paint issues are tricky and he removed at least half the paint on a few areas around the home. Over the years he has also pressure washed a few times and soft washed the roof. He stands by his work, providing a 10 year warranty on the paint job and uses premium materials and provided excellent preparation. We have had no trouble with the paint. I would certainly recommend Garry if you are looking for excellent work.

Garry did very well and was transparent and communicative about the whole process. As is the nature of repairs like this, a lot of damage cannot be identified from the ground during the estimate process; the damage is only seen once the job has already begun. Garry was very faithful to notify me and ask my approval when he judged that repairs other than those in the estimate were appropriate, and he modified the quote after these extra repairs were authorized. Garry was considerate about my timing and about occasional other situations at the house while he worked. Regarding the billing, Garry showed receipts of all his material costs and charged no markup on material. All labor was billed at the same prices as offered in the estimate, and I was allowed plenty of time to verify that we agreed on the price before the final payment (which was after the job, he did not ask any money up front). Garry's immediate prices are not the cheapest in town, and he will say this to you up front, but he performed everything in a way to maximize the longevity of the repairs, saving money and hassle in the long run. All in all, I had a good experience with Garry and would hire him again.

Perfect! Garry painted the inside of my house in 2013. The paint price was a little high, but Garry said it will be worth it. He was soooo right! My walls have been, and continue to be, able to be wiped clean. I still did not need my walls touched up. He touched up my baseboards. They had some areas where paint had been chipped off by the vacuum hitting the baseboards, and 3 grandsons’ cars and trucks running into the baseboards. Garry estimated the time to a tea. No surprises:) Garry is coming back this month to do some exterior painting. He is very busy, so book early. He’s definitely worth the wait and competitively priced. Thank you, Garry!

Gary did an excellent job. Price was reasonable, he prepped everything and protected surrounding areas, primed and painted, added new hardware, cleaned up. Everything looks great. Would definitely recommend and will use him again for future projects. He did not require any payment until the job was completed to my satisfaction.

Garry did an exemplary job from start-to-finish. Provided detailed estimate of work plan and cost for each section of wood rot repair and for door repair, with a breakdown of labor and material costs. Performed the work flawlessly and meticulously - carpentry, caulking, painting, etc over a 5-day period.

Garry painted the entire exterior of our home 5 years ago. We were so impressed with his conscientiousness & work ethic we hired him again to pressure wash & recaulk some areas that were cracking & to seal some areas near the foundation. He works with the home owner to accomplish what they ask for & does not over sell. He shares his experience about which of the best products (paint, caulk, etc) to use that will last. His communication is excellent. I would definitely recommend Garry. I wish I could clone him for plumbing, irrigation, HVAC, and electrical repairs.

I had two new fiberglass exterior doors installed that Garry spray painted. The finish is so perfect it looks like it arrived from the factory that way. He also installed molding to compensate for the difference in width between the old doors' threshold and the new ones. That was done expertly too. This is our second time calling on Garry and like the first time, he’s absolutely AMAZING! He’s the epitome of professionalism in every sense of the word! We especially appreciate when Garry pressure washes, that he doesn't just automatically apply full-blast water pressure in all situations (as someone less experienced might) instead relying on bleach to clean the surface first and then using something less than full water pressure to finish the clean and rinsing. His method definitely reduces the potential for property damage. Garry is also very nice to deal with and very knowledgeable about many things, and for all these reasons we’ll definitely be calling on him again!

Garry is amazing. No, really, period. This is a precision painter - his attention to detail is total, and the resulting job is absolutely impeccable. Never found a drip, never saw a stray brushmark. He really knows his trade, has the right equipment, spends oodles of time on prep, and does a completely professional job. He also is a very nice guy who is very easy to deal with - sticks to his estimate no matter what happens and is very open and honest. Very cognizant of your privacy, and very concerned with your property and things. Garry gave us a middle of the pack estimate, but when I saw the job, I felt a bit guilty - he should probably be making much more given the quality of the work. When dealing with Garry, you don't get some anonymous every changing crew showing up - you get Garry, and he is the real deal. Strongly recommend this guy, and I don't do that very often.
