"It was a phenomenal job. They were professional. Work was done to our expectations. They did a great job. I would hire them again in the future. They cleaned up after the job was done. Timely manner and I like the fact that they were in uniform."

"Zoom Drain is a company that I would use again. I needed a gas line removed and a duct vent relocated in my laundry room, zoom drain came, assessed the job and gave me a reasonable price to fit the job. Jonathan was very professional and polite, he explained in detail what he would have to do how long the job would take and made sure he addressed all of my questions. I didn’t feel pressured to hire them on the spot, he allowed me time to speak to my husband and set a date for the job. Upon walking me through the job Jonathan pointed out to me plumbing problems that I had from work that another company had just done and I told him my concerns with the work that was done and with no questions asked he told me he would fix it for me. I really appreciate when I get workers who are honest and really want to do the job and do it correctly and this company has shown me that I can trust and count on them to do the job."

"The plumber Ben Franklin sent was knowledgable and thorough. Also took the time to explain what he was doing and why and fixed not only the drain problem but a leak under the sink that we weren't aware of."

Customers say: Quick response

"We received excellent service from NILES HULL, who performed a pipe repair for a hose attachment in our driveway. The job was $533, and was done well, with pleasant, knowledgeable service. I highly recommend Harris as we've used them for many plumbing and electric projects in recent years. NILES HULL was knowledgeable, caring, and attentive to detail. They stand behind their work. Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

First, find the cleanout pipe in your yard. Unscrew the cap—you may need a wrench to do so. Then, get a drain snake. You can use a non-motorized one, but a motorized snake will make the job a little easier. Feed the snake through the pipe until it reaches the clog. Spin the snake continuously, but don’t try to feed it through the pipe anymore. Keep spinning until you feel it break the clog apart.

It can take anywhere from half an hour to a few hours to fix a main line clog, depending on the cause and severity of it. The job should not take more than a day to complete. Keep in mind that the main line is not the same as your home’s sewer lines (which connect to the main line and run to your house). Your city is responsible for any clogs or damage to the main line itself.

Yes, sewage smells can originate from a floor drain. If the P-Trap in the floor drain dries out or if there's a clog or other issue in the plumbing system, sewer gasses can escape through the drain, causing nasty odors. Regularly pouring water into the drain helps maintain the water seal and prevent those smells, but if the smell persists, you should have a plumbing professional inspect the drain for potential problems.

It can take anywhere from one month to a couple of years for tree roots to grow back in sewer lines. Tree roots can cause extreme havoc on your sewer lines, potentially cracking them and causing untreated wastewater to make its way into the groundwater. Have a landscaping pro remove trees and roots before installing your system, or call a pro to do it retroactively as soon as you can.

Cat pee has a strong ammonia-like smell, so if you smell cat pee but don’t have a cat or don’t suspect your cat has any accidents, there could be other issues at hand. Aside from pet urine, your house may smell like cat pee from leaking freon from an old fridge, mold, spilled cleaning supplies, or even outside odors from nearby farms.
