High end architect specializing in making a house feel like home!\nI make people’s dream homes a reality. There is nothing more satisfying to me then improving the quality of life for my clients and giving them a house that they are able to make into their homes.\nI have been a licensed architect since 2015 and am currently registered in Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Maine and Massachusetts. With my NCARB certificate I am able, if necessary, to obtain reciprocal licensure throughout the country in a short time period. \n\nI am inspired by our local built environment, humble materials, classical building forms and traditional building details. I have a strong interest in the reinterpretation of classical building forms, blended with contemporary open floor plans. \nI have a stronger interest in helping to guide my clients to ways of improving the quality of their lives through adapting the built environment to meet their needs.

"Lasting Strength's Adam has the mind of an architect and the finesse of a master carpenter, and his craftsmanship shows in every inch and corner of his work. He has deep knowledge of and confidence in full remodeling work; he renovated our master and kids' bathrooms, installing a tile shower, leveling our floors, which were a total mess, building cabinetry, installing countertops and vanities, and building new doors w/ matching trim to maximize space. He built us a custom walk-in closet and was always looking for ways to save us $ (e.g. reusing shower doors by moving the hinges). My family is comfortable around him and his workers; they vacuum every night and are very respectable family men. Lasting Strentgh provides great value for flawless work - when you want something done right the first time, call these guys. Plus they stay on budget and are good at predicting total costs. They coordinate with the electrician, plumber, painter - it is a seamless operation and they work fast with the goal of making you happy and stress-free."

"I was searching for an architect on Angie’s list we’re building a new house in Newington, Ct Roger Greenwald popped up in my search. Roger called me the next day and we booked an appointment for him to come out to the property. He asked us what we wanted and designed the house for exactly what we needed. My mother is an elderly woman, Roger very patient and answered all my mother‘s questions. He wanted to design the house to what stage we were in our life and what would work for us. Roger is extremely knowledgeable in what he does, he returned every phone call every email immediately or within 24 hours. The house he designed was just absolutely beautiful it was everything we wanted. The blueprints were ready within two weeks if not sooner. Roger Greenwald Architect is FIVE STAR I highly recommend him. Once my house is fully built I will come back and upload photos"

Architects questions, answered by experts

While towers and turrets are frequently present in Queen Anne-style houses, these design elements are not necessary for a home to be considered a Queen Anne. Turrets and towers add visual interest and unique interior spaces, but many Queen Anne homes do not contain these features.

Federal and Colonial architecture are similar in that they both appear mostly utilitarian and symmetrical, but Federal architecture is a bit more ornate. Federal design often includes decorative palladium windows, window lintels, and, sometimes, columns surrounding a more decorative portico. Inside, Federal architecture is set apart by its centrally-located oval room. Additionally, Federal homes tend to have brick facades, whereas Colonial homes more often have wood siding.

An architect is usually involved in the process of determining the layout and structural features and requirements of the home itself, taking into account the local codes, climate, and materials needed to make the home structurally sound. Architects may communicate more with contractors and subcontractors throughout the building process. In comparison to architects, interior designers typically focus on the aesthetics of a home interior and possibly exterior, helping the homeowner decide on color schemes, textures, and materials to incorporate into the design.

Yes, you can finance cottage construction through several options. Construction loans provide funds in stages as work progresses, while home equity loans or lines of credit are available if you have existing property. Some lenders offer a combined construction and permanent mortgage. Always review loan terms and payment milestones before committing.

Costs depend on project complexity, materials, labor, permits, and required revisions.
