"The service reps must be based on commission. I was told I had a leak in my coil without any proof and said that I either needed to replace my coil or replace the whole unit. The unit is only 5 years old. In addition, I was told that the rust in the tray of my AC unit meant I had a leak in the coil. The representative could not clearly explain what was wrong or prove what the issue was. Just a poor explanation and scare tactic warning me my AC unit would leak into my furnace. I decided to receive a second opinion. It is a good thing I did because not only would a perfectly good coil and AC unit be wasted, I would have way overpaid for a problem that wouldn't actually have been solved. The coils were vacuumed upon the work that was done and therefore it would be impossible to reach a pressure level with the vacuum process. I DON'T have a leak in my COIL. DO NOT USE Tipping Hat. I'm not sure if all their service techs are like this but if you incent for services through compensation it makes sense they will try to pull out all stops to get you to pay large sums of money to correct undiagnosed or incorrectly diagnosed problems.
