"What a terrific experience we had with Mighty Bee Electric! Martin came the next day after we called. He was on time, clearly knows what he is doing and fixed everything for the estimated cost. And there was no upselling! I will definitely call him for any future electric work!"

"ELI was wonderful! He arrived on time, was friendly, thorough and quick. What really impressed me was ELI'S attention to the little details--he made sure no water, garbage got loose under the counter, used a mat to protect my floor/inside counter, cleaned up everything--even my sink--when he was done and, finally, put everything back under the counter where it was before he came! Above and beyond customer service! I will recommend AAA who anyone who needs drains unplugged! Also I like the company and especially the SERVICE so much, I'm meeting with a tech for another job--electrical this time. THANK YOU, ELI for your time, service and patience with my speech! much appreciated!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

For Longmont homeowners, start spring by checking for winter damage and testing GFCIs. In summer, inspect surge protectors and weatherproof outdoor outlets before thunderstorm season. Fall is ideal for reviewing circuits before holiday lighting and preparing heating systems. During winter, monitor space heater use and check emergency lighting. Scheduling an annual professional inspection helps address Longmont’s unique weather and keeps your electrical system reliable.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Longmont can significantly boost your home’s value and appeal, especially with buyers seeking energy efficiency and modern features. Projects like panel upgrades, GFCI outlet installations, and smart home wiring are attractive in Longmont’s tech-savvy market. These improvements enhance safety, ensure code compliance, and help your property stand out, especially in neighborhoods with older homes or frequent power fluctuations.

Helpful?

In Longmont, flickering lights during windstorms, persistent burning odors, discolored outlets, or frequent breaker trips often signal deeper electrical problems. Homes built in the 1960s-1980s may have outdated panels or aluminum wiring, increasing risk. Outdoor components can also suffer from hail or freeze-thaw cycles, so if you notice exposed wires or moisture near outlets, it’s wise to address these signs before they escalate.

Helpful?

In Longmont, you can safely reset GFCI outlets, replace light switches, or swap out fixtures under 50 lbs—always turn off the breaker and use a voltage tester first. Many older Longmont homes have aluminum wiring or outdated panels, so if you notice brittle wires or unusual outlet covers, avoid DIY fixes. For any persistent issues or unfamiliar wiring, contact a local professional to ensure safety and compliance.

Helpful?

Overusing space heaters in Longmont’s cold winters, leaving extension cords plugged in, and neglecting outdoor outlet covers can all strain your electrical system. Skipping monthly GFCI tests or not using surge protection leaves your home vulnerable, especially with frequent lightning storms. At Longmont’s elevation, UV exposure and temperature swings can age wiring faster, so practicing mindful electrical habits helps preserve your system.
