"Amazing that they completed job in one day! (wall in front of garage was completely redone (R&R) and patching around garage door and under one window). They matched the existing sand finish. The "feathering" in of the new stucco to the old looks good. From a scheduling standpoint I would recommend they provide more of an advance notice for scheduling (i.e. 2 days vs. 1day) and positively let the customer know they are on the schedule."

"Recently my dadâ s roof blew off in a windstorm. I told him we needed 3 quotes before deciding on who should repair our roof. We contacted Trusted Home Contractors and they came out the next day to perform a full inspection of the roof and attic area. They were extremely thorough, providing numerous pictures of the damage on our roof and defects in the previous installation. Their representative, Levi, took great care in explaining the damage to my 94-year-old dad. After getting several other quotes, it was obvious to us that Levi demonstrated his knowledge of the roofing business, building codes, and insurance process. He went to bat for us with our insurance adjuster by providing key information that resulted in getting the full quote covered. We know we were not armed with the relevant information to do this ourselves. His team removed the old roof, installed a new modern roof, and arranged for the necessary building inspections, all of which were done on a timely basis. Levi really listened to our needs, both from a product and financial standpoint. He made the entire process, start to finish, easy and seamless. I would absolutely hire Levi and Trusted Home Contractors to perform additional contracting jobs in the future."

"My experience with Building in Harmony was overall a 10/10 as you know construction is not comfortable but they went out of their way to make it the most comfortable it can be. I got my driveway and backyard re done as well as re-doing the stucco on my house which was on my wish list for a long time. I was very hesitant about it but when Dana came out the first time I knew they where the one. They are very detailed and meticulous when it comes down to the finished product. We had walk through on the regular basis and every time I had a question someone was there to answer. They followed through with their completion date and finished earlier than i could have ever anticipated which is something that’s very hard to do with construction from what I have heard.Overall I’m super happy with the work and experience with them I can’t wait to start my next project with them! Thank you Building in Harmony Team and Dana for everything my family and I appreciate it so much."

"Brilliantly! Nir, my contractor, helped to realize my vision of a beautiful Mexican styled bathroom! With Talavera and Saltillo tiles, an elegant soak tub, charming hand painted sink.... it is a relaxing, therapeutic refuge! Moises, and Christian, were terrific on the job! And very tidy! Moises made all of the plumbing installation look easy, though with my old house I know there were a few glitches. And Moises is an artist when it comes to setting the hand-made tiles! The small powder room and laundry room got clean, bright makeovers as well! I could not be happier! The rooms, and especially the main bathroom, are more beautiful than I dreamed!"

Stucco questions, answered by experts

The best adhesive that works on stucco is usually a product specified for use on stucco or concrete surfaces. The adhesive will need to be strong to grip the stucco, but should also wipe away clean when used in a temporary application. You can also consider using super glue or hot glue on stucco.

The decision to repair or replace stucco depends on the extent of the damage. For minor issues like small cracks, holes, dirt, stains, or discoloration, a repair is typically sufficient and more cost-effective. These issues can often be resolved with a simple repair, a deep clean, and possibly a new coat of paint. However, for more significant problems such as large cracks, peeling, mold, algae, or structural water damage, a replacement might be necessary. In these cases, it is best to call a professional stucco contractor for an inspection. An expert can assess the severity of the damage, determine if there are deeper issues, and advise whether a repair is adequate or if replacing a section or an entire wall is the more cost-effective, long-term solution.

Stucco repair can best be described as a patch. It involves identifying the problem and fixing that specific damage with additional stucco. If no mold infiltration or an underlying leak is causing the damage, repair is most likely all you need.

Remediation, on the other hand, involves removing the existing siding, fixing the underlying cause of the damage, and then reapplying stucco siding for that wall. It’s a more permanent fix that takes longer to complete and, hence, comes with a steeper price tag than repair.

The curing time for stucco typically takes several weeks to fully complete. During the curing process, the stucco undergoes a chemical reaction and gradually hardens. It's important to note that curing is different from drying. While the surface of the stucco may dry relatively quickly within a few hours or days, the curing process continues beneath the surface, strengthening and solidifying the stucco.

It's best to avoid excessive moisture exposure during the curing period, as it can impede the curing process. The exact curing time can vary based on factors such as temperature, humidity, and the specific stucco mixture used.

The length of time shouldn’t matter much if you stick with lightweight Christmas lights and similar decorations. Those shouldn’t pose risks to your stucco. You should avoid attaching anything to your stucco that could fall because it’s too heavy, which may take part of the stucco with it. Some methods, like using double-sided tape or adhesive hooks, will naturally wear out over time and lead to falling lights, so don’t expect to leave these lights up year-round.
