"The professionalism and quality that the Insulation Labs team demonstrated from beginning to end should serve as a Master Class for any other service oriented company. Scheduling the estimate was effortless with clear, helpful and efficient communication from Diana, their first line of contact. Abraham arrived to do the estimate visit with kind patience and knowledge. He took the time to help us figure out how best to approach the insulation and was more than willing to answer all of our many questions. When we received the estimate we were appreciative of how easy it was to read and understand what the plan was. We knew exactly what to expect and how much it would cost. Today was the day of the insulation. Chris, Tzoc, and Moises spent a long full day doing the entire job. Throughout they were kind, professional, and did an outstanding, neat job. At all times, they cared for our space as if it were their's. We are so glad we chose Insulation Lab. There is no question we would recommend them to anybody."

"I hired Attic master to come over and check the attic for some bad smell. Adam came over to my house and went up to the attic and checked the problem there... He recommended me to remove the old insulation and to place a new one. His price and warranty were good... so i hired them. The following morning, he came over with his worker and took out all the old insulation while his worker placing the new one. The work was completed the same day and the problem of the bed smell has been solved."

"We had no problem or issue with this company. They came and did exactly what they said and promised. The service was fast too. We were able to schedule them for the same week and the work was completed after 2 days of work. According to the technician that worked at our house, it was better to use the opportunity when the attic empty from the old insulation and to replace the ducts as well. For the price that we were able to got, we decided to do that too.
so overall, we are in the stage that we will use this company in the future and we will refer them to people that we know and might need the same kind of work to be done.

"These guys saved us during the recent heatwave. I looked for days for someone to come help us service our airconditioner, which was working....except for the cold air part. These guys were so easy to get in touch with and they put us on the schedule for the next day. They took a look and the fix was really easy. They serviced the AC, made some recommendations for future upgrades (but made sure to let us know they weren't emergencies) and left us with a house full of cold air. It was one of the easiest home services we've had in our new house. HIGHLY RECOMMEND."

"GC Heating and Cooling put in a 3 zone furnace and AC system for our 3100 sq ft house in Manhattan Beach back in 2018. We recently had an issue due to the unprecedented heat wave and Gustavo and Jordan fixed the issue under short notice. You can always expect quality work and great service from them."

"I called several contractors who all quoted me exorbitant amounts of money for a simple, non structural room within our large one bedroom condo. Ciro came and his pricing from the estimate was very reasonable. I called a reference to check to see if his work was detailed and if he cared about the jobs he took on. He came with rave reviews and so I decided to take my chances on him - the folks we had in here before left a lasting impression of "what not to do" so I was skeptical. We had to delay the start of the job due to Homeowners Association approval and Ciro checked in every few weeks to check in. He looked at the picture I drew and said it was no problem to create my vision for the room - after all, our baby had been sleeping in the living room - this was going to be her room. He was right there with me. When we finally got the room approved by the association, I asked if he could start that following Saturday. He did - on time and followed all the association rules for working/noise, etc. He even dealt perfectly well and calmly with a crazy neighbor we have on the first floor. He got the room up in a day using metal studs and then sound proofed the room with sound board and insulation. He then put the dry wall up and took care of all the electrical within about 5 days. By the Wednesday of the following week - everything had been pretty much done. He painted, installed the crown/base molding and finished off the recessed lights. He installed the chandeliers and smoothed out the prior popcorn ceilings we had scraped when we moved in. He was fast! What I truly loved about Ciro and his crew was how meticulous they were. Every little detail was covered and the pride and passion that went into the work was amazing. He sanded every crevice and didn't rush the finish or the detailed work like so many builders do. Ciro even came back after we noticed a smudge in the paint and fixed it - no questions asked - he was glad to do it. His sister even came when the project was done to clean up the place from the drywall dust and they did a whole house cleaning (bathrooms and all). I have never been more impressed and when my wife returned to see a put together condo with a new room for the baby - she was thrilled. We can't thank Ciro and his crew enough - the baby now has her own room and we have our lives back after 7PM :) If anyone has any questions, they can feel free to contact me - I will always be a reference for Ciro. A great guy with a great crew who truly loves what he does and always has a smile on his face. What a great experience!"

"I can't edit previous review so posting new one: I am revising my previous review. After posting my first review, Danny in Customer Service at Home Comfort USA contacted me. Danny very patiently listened to my situation and frustration and told me he would look into it, but wouldn’t “leave me hanging” and would call back. He did call back and fast-tracked a HVAC technician, Jad, to come out, who was great and called in a higher-level technician two days later. Then the higher-level technician came out a couple of days after that and found we did need a leaking core replaced and said Danny would call me. Danny did call me and went above and beyond to get the part replaced under the manufacturer’s warranty. Two days after that, Home Comfort USA came out, replaced the core, tested our HVAC, and mitigated the labor. We are now VERY happy customers with Home Comfort USA and very grateful for Danny’s great customer service and intervention. I am writing this review on a day in the mid-90s with our HVAC system keeping us VERY comfortable. Thank you."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, pipes can freeze when exposed to prolonged freezing temperatures, whether or not you have installed insulation covers. Insulation covers, however, are still an excellent idea as they can reduce the chance of your pipe freezing by keeping the pipes closer to the temperature of the water inside the pipe.

The best type of attic insulation depends on where you live, your budget, and what stage of construction the attic is in. For example, if you're building a house, then structural insulated panels are a worthy investment since they're easy to install during construction and they're the most energy-efficient type of insulation.

Additionally, if you live in a very warm climate, then you can potentially save quite a bit of money by opting for reflective insulation, which is more affordable than comprehensive insulation but doesn't work well for cool climates. Blown-in, loose-fill, and spray foam insulation are all great options for attics in moderate climates.

Also known as sound-dampening blankets, acoustic blankets reduce echo in a room. They come in different thicknesses and materials, and they can be nailed or glued to walls.

The cost to rent an insulation vacuum ranges between $250 and $350 per day. The price will increase if you choose to rent for additional days, but you may get a discounted daily rate if you rent it for a whole week, which could cost up to $1,000. Once you've removed the insulation and are ready to replace it, the cost to rent a blown-in insulation machine ranges between $100 and $500.

Insulation provides additional protection for your tankless water heater. Even if the unit is installed inside the house, it’s still a good idea to wrap the unit up with insulation batts, especially if you live in cold climates. For outdoor units, you can build an insulated box around the tankless water heater for freeze protection.
