Building In Harmony

Building in Harmony did a master bath remodel for my wife and I. They did an excellent job, and the final product exceeded our expectations. The layout remained the same, but we went to a lipless walk in shower, and moved lights and fan. All new cabinets, fixtures, and tile throughout. We also used their cabinet supplier to provide cabinets, backsplash, and countertop. All were of excellent look and quality. Job took about six weeks, largely because of the extensive tile work. Building in Harmony did an excellent job overall. The craftmanship and attention to detail was first rate. Workman were there every workday and several weekends. They kept the rest of the house clean. At the end, the job exceeded our expectations. As with all remodels, the job was not without drama. Our project leader became sick during tiling, but Building in Harmony stepped up (including the CEO) and provided a substitute workman to keep things going. When we had to procure additional tile, Building in Harmony sent someone to La Palma to pick it up to maintain schedule. They were very responsive in attending to any issues we had to our complete satisfaction. Although we had a pretty good idea what look we wanted, we used their design service to get an overall picture, and that was very helpful. You need to make sure the plan they provide from that includes all the details (e.g., light location) because that is what the workman will use as a plan. Including the design service and cabinets, their cost was $40.8K. We received proposals from 4 contractors, and they were the second most expensive. We went with them because of their reviews and the design service. If we ever have another remodel, we will not hesitate to use them again.

I went with Building in Harmony on a remodel of my 2 bathrooms and kitchen. The project went great thanks to Michael, project manager, and his phenomenal crew. They were extremely professional, did everything as they promised and kept the costs within my budget. There were no issues and final outcome exceed my expectations. I set up a meeting with the, they gave me acceptable estimate and I decided to hire them. Michael, project manager, and his team showed up on time. They worked hard from first day to end of the project. Michael was very helpful, knowledgeable and with his team did everything as he promised at the start. The project was finished in a timely manner, with no extra costs and final outcome is spectacular. I love my new kitchen, it's beautiful and functional, just perfect! Dori and her team did amazing job, it went very smooth with no issues. Building In Harmony is just awesome. I requested Michael to provide an estimate for upgrading 13 windows to Milgard windows for my two story home. Michael came out and evaluated the scope of the project. Michael was very patience and easy to work with. I had to make sure that the bedroom windows meet the city’s egress fire codes. Michael provided several quotes with different options very quickly. After reviewing four other quotes from different companies, I decided to go with Michael for the window upgrade. I was even able to go with a better product since the price was so reasonable. When the time arrived for the window install, the crew came out and did a fantastic job. They were professional, knowledgeable and cleaned up after the end of each workday. Per my request for a building permit, Michael made all the arrangements. The inspector came out and gave approval to the work performed. If you’re looking for window replacements and want it done right, Michael is definitely the person to see.

Michael was a very professional and great person to work with! He was very nice to us and polite. He came to our house after we contacted Building In Harmony and asked them some information about remodeling our kitchen and 2 bathrooms and how it works and cost. Michael brought to us some samples of countertops, cabinets and floor on top of many pictures and videos of similar projects that they did recently. The work that he did with his teams is great and we can’t ask for more. We know that those days it’s hard to find someone that can come over and do any remodeling project right and as expected. The kitchen that we selected was Oak color, and the countertop was a granite that matches that color. Michael recommended us to a certain type of new floor that came out great too. We loved overall the nice details that Michael recommended to us.

We have used Building In Harmony in the past and we were extremely happy with the overall work they did, this time we had them remodel our 3 bathrooms, Kitchen and to scrape/resurface all the acoustic ceilings in three rooms. Everything turned out very well. The bathroom was completely redone and updated (we even added home automation system with heating floors), the kitchen was opened and joined the rest of the house and with no walls. Michael kept us informed about every step of the work. The teams were very conscientious with masks and social distancing. Last but not least, they thrilled us with the updates to the lights and the fresh look of the house. We would highly recommend Building In Harmony for any project, and will not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Michael with Building In Harmony is definitely the best. What really impressed me is the fact that he responded to all of my texts or calls immediately. Michael and the team completed a full remodel, including the removal of a wall, and a complete upgrade of the kitchen within a few months... within the scheduled timeframe that we got when we signed the agreement. His quality of work is superb and the quality of the cabinetry was excellent. He is a great troubleshooter and solves any issues that come up in a timely and cost-effective manner. I ordered an entire house full of gorgeous triple glass windows and sliding doors. Michael’s patience and guidance through the process was invaluable. He was always responsive, helpful and professional. He answered all my questions regardless of how small, quick and with easy to under language that helped me understand every aspect of my window order. I can’t say enough positive things about Michael. These days it’s refreshing to know there are still guys like him who you can truly trust and know their craft and their product inside and out. Everyone at Building In Harmony is totally professional & knowledgeable. Michael, Dana and the other people at the teams did a fantastic job from start to finish. Communication via phone and or email was timely, and they always kept us informed where we were in the process. We called at least 8 contractors for estimates. Michael at Building In Harmony was the most detailed and fairest estimate. Just to explain what we mean by fairest… one estimate was more than twice as much as Building In Harmony. The kitchen and bathroom’s remodeling work came out stunning and much more than what we expected to get. The materials that were used were high quality, and they fit perfectly to the phenomenal design that we got from Michael. The work was permitted & inspected by the city inspector and passed with no major issues. All the people at the teams who came and worked at my house were COVID safety compliant as well. We would definitely recommend Building In Harmony to anyone considering doing any remodeling work at their houses.

Our roof was just finished, and I knew I had to give this team the best rating I can give because I’ve been blown away by the service, thoughtfulness and thoroughness I’ve gotten from Building in Harmony from the beginning. Our property is very hard to get to, and Michael ran into some unforeseen delays getting the permit for our roof re-do. During that time he never left me hanging, was available 24/7 via phone and text for me to check in and see where we were. Once they started, the process was fast, professional, and above and beyond. The team has been a delight to have working on our property, all fantastic guys, and considerate and communicative, which is important when you’re quarantined with 6 guys ripping up your roof :) Our roof looks and feels better than it ever has, and we are so glad we found Building in harmony. Would 100% use again (in ten years!) and recommend.

I would highly recommend Building in Harmony for any windows installation or replacements, retrofit or new build job. They recently finished our 8-unit homeowners associated town home in Redondo Beach and did an excellent job. Michael is a pleasure to work with and spent a lot of time with us in selecting the design and model of windows that were right for the project. He started with reviewing all the various manufacturers, models and style to make sure we selected the right product. He was very willing to work with us on price and installation time frame with his ultimate aim being happiness that we got the right product and the right job done the first time. We interviewed several window companies and selected Frontier because of their capabilities, price, and willingness to work with us. The installation process for replacement windows was a very smooth operation. They could install all 12 units, approximately 70 windows in 7 days, including setup, removal of old windows, installation and clean up. The people who ran the installation were also a pleasure to work with, they really cared about the project turning out correctly and spent a lot of time with us on the last day making sure each detail was perfect. The company itself is also very respectful of personal privacy and COVID protocols to keep us safe, which we appreciated. In the end, the windows look fabulous as a much needed style, noise reduction and better sealing improvement, and we’re thrilled that Frontier did the job. I would highly recommend Building in Harmony to anyone looking for new or replacement windows, and plan to use them again in the future.
