"Garafano Electric has being taking care of all the electrical needs and upgrades in our 90 plus year old house for a few years now. They always do A+ work. We're currently in the middle of some home renovations and they've been willing and able to work with our erratic schedule. Honest, dependable, and great at what they do. Can't recommend them high enough!"

"Joe's Electric returned my care within minutes of me contacting them. I had a technician in my home in 1.5 hrs. Who quickly identified and fixed the problem within 35-45 minutes. They saved me from losing a whole day of work and it was worth the cost vs loss I would have incurred."

"I had Excellence Electric install a Tesla charger in my garage. The job was difficult and required a replacement upgraded 200 amp circuit breaker with a 60 amp power line pulled through the attic across the house and dropped down into the garage where the Tesla charger port needed to be installed. Raymond at Excellence Electric completed the job on schedule, took care of all of the HOA and city permits, and kept me updated all the way through the process. I can highly recommend Raymond at Excellence Electric with out hesitation for any electrical work needed on your home or office. Kyle Webb Casa Del Sole residence"

"Wilson Electric was great to work with, they promptly responded for my request for a quote and provided me an estimated price for the job as described. Electrical questions, answered by experts

For electrical projects in Orange, keep a non-contact voltage tester, digital multimeter, and GFCI tester for quick diagnostics. Insulated screwdrivers and wire strippers are essential for safe repairs. Stock weather-resistant tape and outdoor-rated wire nuts to handle Orange’s dry, windy climate. Having surge protectors, battery-powered lights, and local electrician contact info ensures you’re prepared for emergencies or unexpected power outages.

Helpful?

In Orange, install tamper-resistant outlets and AFCI breakers to enhance electrical safety for families. Use outlet covers and secure cords to prevent access by children and pets. Elevate electrical components where possible, especially in homes with pets. For outdoor spaces, choose weather-resistant outlet covers, particularly near pools or patios. Teach family members the location of the main electrical panel for quick shutoff during emergencies.

Helpful?

In Orange, new homeowners should prioritize upgrading to GFCI outlets in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces for electrical safety. Check that smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are hardwired as required. Evaluate your electrical panel’s capacity, especially in homes built before the 1980s. Adding ceiling fans, weatherproof outdoor outlets, and dedicated circuits for home offices or EV charging can improve comfort and meet modern needs.

Helpful?

In Orange, frequent circuit breaker trips, lights dimming during hot weather, or a persistent burning odor near outlets often signal underlying electrical safety concerns. Outlets that feel warm, outdated home wiring, or panels installed before the 1980s are common in the area and may not meet modern safety codes. Addressing these early helps prevent fire risks and ensures your home wiring is up to current standards.

Helpful?

Before starting electrical work in Orange, confirm you have the necessary permits and allow time for approval. Notify your utility provider if power shutoff is needed, and check for underground lines before digging. If your home is in an HOA or historic area, review their guidelines for exterior electrical changes. Hiring a local electrician familiar with Orange’s construction and seismic codes helps avoid unexpected setbacks.
