"Very happy with the work completed by Bill (owner), Josh and Pat. Bill always responds promptly to text and calls and explains things clearly. Provided free quote and visited the house to confirm quote. Josh and Pat arrived on time and worked neatly. Josh was able to avoid trenching thru the ceiling even though attic space was limited. They even put back closet shelf that had to be removed to access attic. Josh and Pat even came by another day to help install a remote that I did not have on the day of installation."

"Installation went very well. The tech was knowledgeable and professional. Problem was when I received my cc bill. I was billed the $129 Angie's List fee which was to include TV wall mount (mount not include), connect all necessary video and basic audio, neatly dress wires, configure peripheral devices, and conceal in-wall wires. And I was billed $140.49 from HELLOTECH. I'm still trying to get the $140.49 charge reversed."

"Ty did a solid job installing 3 GFCI outlets and 1 light switch for my kitchen. He provided a fair/competitive price and executed the work professionally. He was a pleasure to talk to and patient to answer all of my questions. He even left me a free receptacle tester for the safety of my home to test the outlets. Recommend him to anyone that needs electrical work by a professional electrician. 5+ stars"

"John responded immediately to my request and came to my home the same day. He needed to order a part to complete the repair, which he took care of. He installed the new switch as soon as it arrived and it is working well. John was knowledgeable and professional. I will use him again if the need arises."

Tv Antenna Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, in general, raising your TV antenna will improve your reception. Besides raising the location of your antenna, you should try putting it by a window. In fact, you can have the same antenna but get double the channels or more if it's in the best location. The highest spot to put a TV antenna will be on your roof, and the tallest type of outdoor antenna is a tower.

Regular maintenance and protection against weather extremes enhance longevity.

The shorter the coaxial cable, the better. The further you run the cable, the more signal loss you'll experience. At 50 feet, you'll see significant signal loss, and by 100 feet, you'll experience at least a 30% drop in signal strength.

Before investing in a TV antenna repair, there are a few steps you can take to help boost your signal quality. Removing obstacles like tree branches can help improve your signal strength. Along the same line, moving an indoor antenna away from obstacles can also help. These should be near a window, as high as possible. If these steps don’t work, speak with a TV antenna technician about a signal amplifier to help boost your signal even further.

The easiest way to ensure you get the best reception from your TV antenna is to leave the installation to a professional. You’ll pay around $300 for this service, but the expert will use signal checkers to find the ideal placement for your antenna on your roof. They can also determine the right direction for your antenna to face. If your existing antennas are delivering a poor-quality picture, it might help to invest in a TV antenna signal booster, which picks up more signals and could provide a better experience.
