"Very happy with the work completed by Bill (owner), Josh and Pat. Bill always responds promptly to text and calls and explains things clearly. Provided free quote and visited the house to confirm quote. Josh and Pat arrived on time and worked neatly. Josh was able to avoid trenching thru the ceiling even though attic space was limited. They even put back closet shelf that had to be removed to access attic. Josh and Pat even came by another day to help install a remote that I did not have on the day of installation."

"Installation went very well. The tech was knowledgeable and professional. Problem was when I received my cc bill. I was billed the $129 Angie's List fee which was to include TV wall mount (mount not include), connect all necessary video and basic audio, neatly dress wires, configure peripheral devices, and conceal in-wall wires. And I was billed $140.49 from HELLOTECH. I'm still trying to get the $140.49 charge reversed."

"Jose is a professional for sure, it does look like he does know this business. I am getting quotes for projector installation at our church, Jose is the first one that answered and followed up, my only (slight) set back was that I had to rescheduled because he wasn't able to keep the time that we had agreed on, the next day I had to reschedule due to personal matter and Jose was able to roll with it w/o any problem. I am still finishing up other quotes, but Jose is definitely someone who knows his business."

"Ty did a solid job installing 3 GFCI outlets and 1 light switch for my kitchen. He provided a fair/competitive price and executed the work professionally. He was a pleasure to talk to and patient to answer all of my questions. He even left me a free receptacle tester for the safety of my home to test the outlets. Recommend him to anyone that needs electrical work by a professional electrician. 5+ stars"

"I was quoted one antenna that would be suitable for rooftop or attic installation. The first installer had the wrong antenna, it was line of sight only, and he did not know how to connect two TVs. I insisted on a different, more experienced installer. The second installer was skilled and professional. Attic installation was not an option due to equipment in my attic. He found a discreet location on the back side of the roof. The reception is excellent."

"John responded immediately to my request and came to my home the same day. He needed to order a part to complete the repair, which he took care of. He installed the new switch as soon as it arrived and it is working well. John was knowledgeable and professional. I will use him again if the need arises."

Tv Antenna Installation questions, answered by experts

The shorter the coaxial cable, the better. The further you run the cable, the more signal loss you'll experience. At 50 feet, you'll see significant signal loss, and by 100 feet, you'll experience at least a 30% drop in signal strength.

Yes, in general, raising your TV antenna will improve your reception. Besides raising the location of your antenna, you should try putting it by a window. In fact, you can have the same antenna but get double the channels or more if it's in the best location. The highest spot to put a TV antenna will be on your roof, and the tallest type of outdoor antenna is a tower.

Outdoor TV antennas are often worth it, as the signals broadcast in your area are always stronger outside. If you have an indoor antenna that isn’t performing well, call a TV antenna installation company to come out and use a signal checker to see if a stronger signal is available on your roof, as it often will be. Outdoor antennas require longer cables, which can decrease the quality of the picture, but a professional should be able to find a position where cable length is minimized, and the available signal is strongest for ideal performance.

If your TV antenna is good quality and was installed by a professional, you can expect it to last between 10 and 20 years without needing repair or replacement. This can vary based on your geographic location, weather conditions, and antenna location.

The cost to repair your TV antenna is around $200 for the average homeowner. However, charges could be as low as $60 or as high as $450. Factors such as multidirectional or unidirectional, indoor or outdoor, and amplified or non-amplified all play an essential role in determining the cost of your repair. For example, outdoor antennas cost more on average to repair than indoor ones, much like amplified antennas cost more to repair than unamplified ones.
