"There was no electricity in one of our rooms. They found it was the sending unit in the ceiling fan not sending a message to the switch. 15 minutes later, remote reprogrammed. Mike wrote down the instructions if this should happen again. Great guys"

"I had Excellence Electric install a Tesla charger in my garage. The job was difficult and required a replacement upgraded 200 amp circuit breaker with a 60 amp power line pulled through the attic across the house and dropped down into the garage where the Tesla charger port needed to be installed. Raymond at Excellence Electric completed the job on schedule, took care of all of the HOA and city permits, and kept me updated all the way through the process. I can highly recommend Raymond at Excellence Electric with out hesitation for any electrical work needed on your home or office. Kyle Webb Casa Del Sole residence"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Watch for frequent breaker trips during summer AC use, flickering lights when major appliances run, or warm outlet covers. Homes in La Habra with older aluminum or knob-and-tube wiring, missing GFCI outlets, or panels under 200 amps often need updates. Signs like sun-faded wiring, corrosion from coastal air, or smoke residue from wildfires also suggest a professional should assess your electrical system.

Helpful?

La Habra homeowners are prioritizing smart home technology, including app-controlled lighting and energy management systems. Outdoor living upgrades—like landscape lighting, pool automation, and wiring for outdoor kitchens—are in demand. Sustainability is a growing trend, with many adding EV charging stations and solar-ready panels. Modern touches such as under-cabinet LED lighting and USB charging outlets are also popular in recent renovations.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in La Habra can boost home value and attract buyers seeking modern features. Enhancements like updated panels, smart home automation, and EV charging stations are highly desirable. Safety improvements, such as whole-home surge protection and modern GFCIs, make your property more appealing and move-in ready, especially in a competitive market where energy efficiency and future-proofing matter.

Helpful?

If your La Habra home has a 100-amp panel, outdated wiring, or frequent breaker trips, it’s likely ready for electrical upgrades. Limited outlets, plans for EV charging, or adding smart home features are strong indicators. Homes near wildfire-prone areas or built before modern safety codes benefit most from a professional electrical assessment to identify targeted improvements and enhance safety and functionality.

Helpful?

In La Habra, tailor your electrical inspection routine to the city’s Mediterranean climate and local housing styles. Each spring, inspect outdoor outlets and pool wiring for moisture after winter rains. In summer, check your electrical panel for overheating and examine exterior lighting for sun damage. Fall is ideal for securing fixtures against Santa Ana winds, while winter is best for testing GFCIs and monitoring indoor moisture near outlets.
