"I was really impressed with Phill's Pluming, from the time I requested a quote through the final installation. Phill responded to my request quickly, and researched the facuet I was looking for. Within the same day I had a quote. He ordered the facuet and it was installed with a couple of days. His employee, Joe was on time, wore a face mask, covered his shoes, made sure my floor was covered, and completed the installation quickly. I was looking for a go to Plummer that I could trust and rely on, and I definitely found one. - Lml, Irvine"

"John the Plumber for Degennaro, was courteous and efficient. He was able to perform the job on the same day as the bid/estimate. He installed our toilets and left a very clean worksite. I would hire Degennaro again, if I have another plumbing project."

"I needed two drains cleared so I went ahead and bought an Angie's List promo coupon for $99 for $200 of service and had them snake a couple drains for me and check out some other issues I was having.  The technician who came out was Joe.  He was very knowledgeable and experienced and totally fixed my problem quickly.  If I'd known the quality of service I'd get I would have called them first before attempting to snake the first drain myself (unsuccessfully, obviously). He was also very punctual which is HUGE for me because I have to drive 30 minutes to the building to meet any contractors and I don't live there so waiting around for hours is a major problem.  I'm always apprehensive about hiring contractors I haven't previously hired but these guys were fantastic.  I'll definitely be calling them for any future plumbing issues."

"I had several plumbing problems coincident with the emptying of my septic tank, and the two plumbers from VIP were right on it. They dropped their lunches and diagnosed and treated the problems to the extent they were able."

"I purchased a water heater from Do It Right Plumbers . The tech, Chris, was on time and very thorough The installation went as smooth as could be. When the work was finished, you wouldn't have known any work had been done. It was that clean. Not only would I recommend them, but I also plan to use them in the future for my plumbing needs."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

When updating plumbing in CA, you must make several key decisions. First, choose whether you or a licensed contractor will secure the necessary permits. You also need to select compliant water heater types and approved replacement materials during re-piping projects. If addressing a sewer lateral, decide on a repair method like trenchless lining. Finally, carefully select water treatment systems that meet local discharge regulations.

Helpful?

Watch for slow drains paired with gurgling sounds, as this indicates root intrusion in your sewer lines. White or green mineral deposits on fixtures often signal hidden leaks worsened by the coastal environment. If you notice rusty water, your older galvanized pipes are likely corroding from the inside. Unexplained water bill increases or warm, chalky spots on concrete floors point to dangerous slab leaks in Costa Mesa homes.

Helpful?

Plumbing updates often impact other household systems in CA. Converting to an electric water heater requires electrical panel upgrades, while replacing gas appliances demands larger gas lines. Repairing a slab leak involves cutting into the concrete floor, which can damage embedded HVAC ductwork or undermine your foundation. Work on the main supply line changes water pressure, directly affecting your landscaping and irrigation systems.

Helpful?

Maintaining your plumbing in Costa Mesa requires addressing hard water and coastal air. You should schedule annual water heater flushing to remove mineral scale and sediment buildup. Inspect outdoor pipes for salt-driven corrosion. For older homes, arrange periodic sewer camera inspections to catch tree root intrusion. Finally, ensure you complete mandatory annual backflow preventer testing for your irrigation system to stay compliant with state laws.

Helpful?

Schedule plumbing projects if your Costa Mesa home still has original galvanized pipes from the mid-century era. You should proactively replace tank-style water heaters every eight to ten years due to heavy mineral buildup. Plan for system assessments before building an accessory dwelling unit or after heavy winter rains. Always book annual testing for your irrigation backflow preventer before the mandatory deadline to remain compliant.
