"Had a water heater go back and they determined that it was probably still under Kenmore parts warranty (since only 2 yrs old) so recommended I first call they to see (and it was where I got a free replacement through Kenmore) rather than have them do anything, so I greatly appreciated that. Since they determined that 15mins into the service call, I had them also replace an old external water spigot that was hard to turn on. They did a great job with that, even replacing the bib pipe since it had rusted and had minimal breaking into the wall."

"They did a great job figuring out how to install the pot rack securely into my ceiling. There were some obstacles to getting it installed but the crew was able to problem solve the issue and get it installed. Highly recommend!"

"We were delighted with the work, the cost and with Nick. He knows his business. The roof coating was done professionally and at very reasonable cost.  While at our daughter's home he checked the evaporative cooler and alerted us to the fact that we had no working damper. He also checked and repaired a plumbing issue we were having.

"And today, 12/2/21 I had the pleasure of one of the most magnanimous, generous, and kind individuals I have ever met, fix a plumbing issue (bathroom sink would not drain)...his name is ANTHONY GARCIA. He spent a significant amount of time to assure the job was done properly and helped me in a way I cannot even begin to express. A soul with a big HEART and highly skilled, courteous, respectful, and very professional. I think that Strongbuilt must vet all their employees, to make sure that they are not only the best in the business but also the most resplendent as well. John, the owner...is beyond illustrious himself...Folks...this is the company you want for all your home needs. JoAnne Ellis"

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

Yes, slab leaks are fairly common, especially in older homes and places that are prone to earthquakes which can move home foundations.

While "dry" mode on your AC can help reduce humidity levels to some extent, it may not be as effective as a dedicated dehumidifier, especially in areas with extremely high humidity or larger spaces. Dehumidifiers are specifically designed to remove moisture from the air more efficiently, making them a better choice for tackling persistent humidity issues.

Methods include interior sealants, exterior excavation and waterproofing membranes, sump pump installation, and vapor barriers for encapsulation. Techniques vary based on the structure and severity of moisture issues.

Yes, usually you will need some kind of vapor barrier on the exterior walls when the framing is attached to concrete and masonry surfaces.

No, your basement dehumidifier doesn’t need to be on 24/7. While it’s an excellent tool for tackling damp, musty air, especially in humid seasons, leaving it running nonstop can backfire. Over-drying the space can mess with your sinuses, warp wood, and even crack certain materials. Instead, only use your humidifier when moisture levels rise above 50%, and then give it a break when the humidity levels drop.
