"Brock and Raul were great. Timely, efficient and polite. They placed a 9 x 12 rug under a motorized king size bed. ( lots of support legs underneath) They were very conscious of my requests and honored all of them. I would hire them again"

"John and his crew were amazing! They worked together to perfectly complete the small jobs I needed done. It was the end of the day but even took the time to do a Home Depot run to get the materials needed to do the job right. I highly recommend them for any work you need done. Very professional and courteous. Cleaned up after each job. I will definitely hire them again."

"I grew up on a farm and have never had to hire a handyman in my entire 54 years of being. A low battery caused a smoke alarm to start chirping at 2:00 in the morning on a Sunday. Of course out of the 8 smoke alarms in the house, it was the one on the 18 foot high ceiling. I had only a 16 foot ladder and could not reach it. So against everything I hold dear and stubbornly cling to, a quick Google search led me to Home Advisor and they gave me Gordon's number at G&T Handyman Services. Boy am I glad they did. Gordon was the consummate professional, excellent communication by text and phone, nice, polite and overall a great guy. He was in and out in about 20 minutes. My wife and I were discussing how much we think he charges; being as we have never hired a handyman, our estimates were all over the place. I made the comment that if it kept me from falling off a 16 foot ladder and maiming myself, that would be worth, say, $200.00? The call cost us $75.00 which I assume is the minimum. Gordon actually apologized that it was too much to charge. All and all, a great experience with Home Advisor and G&T Handyman Services, employ Gordon with confidence!"

Grill Assembly questions, answered by experts

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

Yes, most states require a plumber to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Check our state licensing tool to review the local plumber guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Local codes often mandate specific fittings, permits, and vent considerations for permitted function and safety, which are enforced by professionals.

Gas grill installation costs around $540 on average, not including the price of the actual grill, and most homeowners pay between $120 and $1,400. This total will go toward laying down a new gas line, connecting it to your existing gas system, pressure testing the line, and connecting it to your grill. Your total project price will depend on the length of the gas line, whether or not the line needs to be installed underground, and the cost of the permits in your area.

Depending on the appliance and labor requirements, costs range from $150 to $500.
