"Problem: I had a two-year-old epoxy coated garage floor that had stains that had soaked into the top layer of the epoxy coating and could not be removed. Search: Began a search for a higher quality and tougher garage floor coating. Thatâ s when I encountered Guardian Garage Floors of Phoenix and their four-step process that uses Polyaspartic Polyurea rather than epoxy. A material that is many times stronger and much more attractive in overall appearance. Process: In my 70+ years I have never enjoyed working with a business more than I have the team from Guardian Garage Floors (office located in Tempe, Arizona). From the in-home consultation with Jon, to questions getting answered and the process scheduled with office staff Audrey and Megan, to the outstanding application and attention to detail work performed by Bryce and Jeff. This was a very personable and professional team. Final Result: My wife and I could not be more pleased the with final appearance of our garage floor in the grey â Wombatâ color. My wife says it is just stunning. Weâ ve already had neighbors tell us they wish they had known about the Guardian process before they had their garage floors coated. We are now looking forward to having our driveway completed later this year."

"I hired this company to cover the concrete floors inside my house with epoxy. I did not see an option for that service in the options given. I decided to take a risk by getting white epoxy flooring installed at my AirBnB rental. I got a few estimates, but Big O was the winner. They provided a reasonable quote that was within my budget and delivered fantastic service. I am absolutely delighted how beautiful the floors turned out! It makes the space feel more bright, open, and clean. I get compliments often when people walk into the house. Keeping white floors is a concern but since there is no texture it is easy to clean. I just run my Roomba almost daily, and to mop it, I use a combo floor mop and vacuum cleaner I got."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

An epoxy floor will not directly increase your home's value, but its aesthetic and durability can make it more attractive to some potential homebuyers. If you have an old or damaged concrete floor in your garage or basement, an epoxy coating can help speed up your home sale.

Generally speaking, epoxy is the best garage floor coating. There are two main types of garage floor coating you can consider: epoxy and polyaspartic. Epoxy coating comes at a more affordable price but loses when it comes to durability and long-term use. Polyaspartic coatings cost more and don’t offer as much traction, but they withstand accidents better and don’t tend to fade. Most homeowners choose an epoxy coating.

Investing in stained and sealed concrete can be worthwhile and may catch the eye of potential homebuyers during resale. The look is sleek and modern, allowing new buyers to envision a versatile list of home decor options. Stained concrete floors are also easy to maintain and feature a custom look that stands out compared to gray, unsealed concrete surfaces.

New flooring costs quite a bit, so longevity is important to think about. Concrete generally has the longest life span, but it’s not always a good solution for homes with wooden subfloors. That said, hardwood floors and stone floors can last up to 100 years, and you can refinish or restore them to remove imperfections from daily wear.

Outdoor kitchens get wet and are sometimes next to pools. To avoid accidents, go with a non-slip material like concrete, brick, or rubber. Avoid materials like ceramic and porcelain, as they are known to be quite slippery. Wood and composite flooring can be slippery if untreated, so make sure to stain or finish these materials.
