"Steve at Anchorage Plumbing and Heating went above and beyond to make sure that it was a fantastic job. I apologize to him for not posting this review sooner because he helped me out of a bad spot with this heating replacement. I bid with 3 plumbing companies and he had the lowest price but everyone was booked out for at least 2 months and my boiler starting leaking and was barely working. He promised that if it failed he would move me up in priority. I told him it was leaking faster and had to be reset many times. So he was able to schedule 2 plumbers to replace my heating system. The old boiler failed the night before perfect timing when his plumbers arrived. The plumbers were professional, did a clean installation job, were polite and knowledgeable. The Muni inspector said they did a great job and I couldn't have beat the price, and quality of the work. Will definitely use again for maintenance and recommend them to my family and friends."
"Evaluated existing vanity and top, recommended sources for replacements and installed replacement top. Contractor was responsiver promptly upon initial contact, maintained constand contact throughout the process both in person and by email, and completed the job within the agreed upon time frame. He was prompt, professional, worked efficinetly and quickly, and cleaned up after himslef very thoroughly. "
"Very friendly, trustworthy and professional. Also accepted another unplanned project when it came up. His suggestions were for my benefit not to increase the bill. Filled me in daily on how things were going. I will work with him for future projects"

Pipes are connected in a bathroom by a 3/4-inch to 1-inch line running from your water meter into your home. The line then splits, with the hot water line going to your water heater and the cold water line running into your home. The cold water line leads to the 1/2-inch water supply lines for your home’s toilet, tub, and sink. The hot water line runs from the water heater to all sinks and baths.
Replacing a toilet costs between $275 and $480 in most cases, and the average cost sits around $375. This includes removing the old toilet and installing the new toilet. Your price could be significantly higher if you invest in a high-quality brand, need the replacement done on an emergency basis, or replace your toilet as a part of a larger bathroom remodel that demands additional work.
If you have the necessary skills, you can attempt DIY plumbing installation for simple systems, but professional installation is recommended for complex systems to comply with codes and ensure safety.
There are three main types of shower valves: pressure-balancing, thermostatic, and diverter. Pressure-balancing and thermostatic valves are both considered mixing valves because they regulate water flow and temperature, but they do so in different ways. A pressure-balancing valve senses changes in water pressure, such as from a flushing toilet, and adjusts the incoming hot and cold water to maintain a consistent temperature; these typically use a single knob. A thermostatic valve uses a thermostat to precisely control the water temperature and requires a separate control to adjust the water volume. A diverter valve directs the flow of water from one fixture to another, such as switching from a tub faucet to a showerhead in a tub-shower combination.
Replacing a shower drain P-trap costs $150 to $250 for parts and labor. Costs increase to $350 or more if your shower drain assembly is difficult to access or requires more work (like replacing pipes and fittings). If you’re a knowledgeable DIYer, a new P-trap costs $10 to $45.
