He is a very detail orientated installer and we are absolutely pleased with his work and will definitely hire him in the future. I wish I could attach pictures we love how it turned out. Stacy and Joe did an outstanding job of remodeling our bathrooms including two beautifully tiled floors. They were punctual, professional at all times, and clearly expert at what they do. Stacy also painted a bedroom that included California closet shelving. He provided us with a detailed quote at the beginning of the project, which was both reasonable and accurate. I would highly recommend Chugiak Restoration & Custom Tile for any type of remodeling especially tile work.

Ceramic Tile Service
Stacey Raskey and his colleague tiled our new kitchen's back splash. Stacey gave me a rapid quote that was slightly lower than the other best contractor I could find via Angie's List, and he very clearly gave me all of the details of the materials to purchase. The homeowners picked out tile according to Stacey's recommendations about quality (we got the best subway tile available through Pacific Tile). The superior tile resulted in little or no cracked, irregular tiles and it looks SO GOOD compared to what I found in the box stores. The pattern Stacey uses for simple subway tile is extremely clean and attractive. The guys finished the job in two days just like Stacey said they would; and the attention to detail is MARVELOUS. We can't wait for Chugiak Restoration and Custom Tile to return to tile our new gas fireplace later this fall.

Exterior Painting
Stacey Raskey and his colleague did a paint job of our home and shed that far exceeded what I thought was possible in terms of quality and durability. They calked places that have never been sealed before, and their use of peel-bond probably extended the lifecycle of our T1-11 siding by twenty years. I don't believe it is possible for water to infiltrate or for sun to crack our siding. The gentlemen were incredibly focused and unobtrusive, and their preparation of the house for painting is what gave me confidence in how well this paint will last. In the midst of a peak project season Stacey guaranteed he would be finished by a particular date, and he made good on the promise - which was critical to the homeowners in this instance. There was no mess whatsoever for the homeowners to clean up, and I have yet to find one spot of over-spray. I know from researching a lot that the price for our paint job was very reasonable. We could have paid less for a far inferior job; and I'm sure we could have paid slightly more for a good job from a larger company. Margins are thin for everyone out there, and picking this particular contractor was the "just right" balance of fair price for extraordinary quality. Chugiak Restoration and Custom Tile does far more than faultless paint jobs. In July they tiled the back splash for our new kitchen (separate review) and will return this fall to tile our new gas fireplace. We look forward to the next job we need done by such professional, astute contractors.

We did have a few hiccups whilst these projects progressed, but we worked through them pretty seamlessly. He was very professional and knowledgeable, he is definitely detail oriented and a perfectionist when it comes to his work. I couldn't be more pleased with the results in both my bathrooms. He went above and beyond what I expected, he did paint touch ups and added really nice trim to my shower, and he always cleaned up before he left. I do plan on hiring him again to do my fireplace - promise no glass this time! :)

"I'm sorry you feel that way. First off I did tell you you needed a plumber & I did re route your drain it did not leak. The drain assembly washer that is a rubber seal did slip out of line when it was installed correctly I might add. An easy fix,all the plumber did was silicone the washer in place.I payed for out of my pocket and would have had no problems fixing the issue had you let me..on another note, had you had a plumber install the plumbing as I suggested and always do this would not have happened. Trying to save a buck is not always the best route..my lesson learned & you can't please everybody !"

Evaluated existing vanity and top, recommended sources for replacements and installed replacement top. Contractor was responsiver promptly upon initial contact, maintained constand contact throughout the process both in person and by email, and completed the job within the agreed upon time frame. He was prompt, professional, worked efficinetly and quickly, and cleaned up after himslef very thoroughly.

This is the second remodel job that Stacy has performed for me. He is very professional and meticulous in his attention to detail, never happy until he feels the job has been done correctly.
The floor tile was installed in a walkout basement in an unusual pattern and required numerous cuts. The finish was very good. The stonework required miter cuts for the corners, again the finished product was the best I have ever seen.
I am very impressed with the final outcome and will always use him if possible.
Stacy is very easy to work with.
I would highly recommend him.

When I first tried to hire Stacey for this job he thought he would have the time. As it turned out the job he was working on was taking longer than originally estimated. Most contractors would string you along for the extra work but he was very honest and said I may want to hire someone else. As it turned out I was able to wait, he completed the work on my fireplace in two days. It was a difficult job because he was working with a botched job from the previous contractor. He was professional and fast. I would recommend him to family and friends and would definitely hire him again when I need something done. I love my new woodstove!

The Chugiak Restoration and Custom Tile workers did an excellent job with a fine attention to detail, treating all personal items with respect, storing them out of the way as needed. Also, they did minor repair work as they went along, painted extra items that needed it, and pointed out to me what was done and why. The home hadn't been painted in 16 years, so it needed a lot of prep/minor repair work. It looks like new! All in all, an excellent job and I'd recommend this company highly.

Stacey was very courteous and worked from the time he showed up at 8:00 am until the time he left at 6:00 pm, rarely taking a break. We were not very impressed with their professionalism. They didn't wind up giving us a quote, we were expecting them at a specific time,and I stayed home waiting for them, and the guy came, and he didn't bother to knock on the door, he just left his card on the door and went on his way. We tried to call to find out what had happened, and he was pretty rude about it. He said he didn't have the time to run around people, but I was home at the time. He was fairly prompt, when we were organizing the time for him to come.

He worked well with us the homeowners to ensure that all were pleased with the final product. Stacy is a perfectionist, and it works out to the benefit of the homeowner. He had to adjust the finish date, but we are very happy with the end result. He worked hard, rarely even taking a lunch break. I would heartily recommend him to others and use him again in any kind of remodel, but especially for tile work.
