"I was a customer of 1st Choice Heating a Cooling for 10 years or more. They installed a furnace in my prior home and just under 3 years ago installed an a/c unit in my current home. Had great service from them up until my most recent interaction. My a/c unit has a 10 year parts warranty and a 1 year labor warranty. The condenser fan motor went out. The part is 100% covered but the labor is not covered. I was charged $160 for a trip/diagnostics fee, then the quote for labor was just over $900. I was able to negotiate the labor down to $650 which is still extremely high given the repair took less than an hour to complete. Price gouging their customers by including filing fees and processing fees in with the labor fee for repairs where the parts are covered and labor is not. The owner was rude and condescending in his communications through the BBB. Claimed I was the problem since maintenance wasn’t done on my 2 year 10 month old a/c unit. I would not recommend 1st Choice Heating & Cooling."

They came over very quickly and gave my wife and I a very good quote we thought. We didn't even get another, Slept on it, they called back the next day and we set set up a date. Mario showed up (very nice guy) . Said it would be a couple hours, and it was. They didn't need to turn off the whole house which was good and wired in a new electrical panel and plug on the outside. We tested it, and it worked perfectly. We are very happy.

On a summer day, expect your AC to run between 12 and 16 hours. However, this time frame depends on just how hot it is outside and the comfortable temperature you’re hoping to maintain indoors. Traditional central air conditioning systems require ductwork to circulate air throughout the home. You may even feel a warm breeze coming from the vents when the AC refrigerant is low. Don’t attempt to check refrigerant levels yourself. Set your house temperature between 55 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit while on vacation, depending on the season. If it’s winter, don’t go below 55 degrees.
