"I submitted a request for a bid for this company through HomeAdvisor.com on Tuesday afternoon to do driveway and sidewalk pressure washing to address dark splotches we recently started seeing everywhere over a month ago. Within 15 minutes, Nick DeMark emailed me back with a two-minute Loom video of him looking at the photo links I included with my request that I uploaded to a photo sharing website, and I could see him in the corner talking and using Google Maps and Google Streetview to look over the tree cover and look at other driveways in the neighborhood that were experiencing similar issues. He suspected it was a fungus due to the shadows from all of the trees. Jenny came out the next morning to do measurements and talk about the other services they provide. Then, from her car, she put together the proposal and got it emailed to me. When I opened the email, I was able to select from an a la carte menu of the services she spoke about and I selected the two I wanted, pressure washing and light fixture cleaning, and then submitted my response. By Thursday morning, Tasha called me back to schedule the appointment for between 8am and 9am on Friday. I was out on the driveway sweeping when Eric and Tyler pulled up at almost exactly 8am! After a quick discussion with these two friendly guys, they got to work and the end result was incredible! The driveway is so much lighter now, there's no sign of the fungus issue, and our light fixtures were much brighter as well! I paid them on the spot with a credit card before they left and they were completely done by 10:45am. This company seems to have hired all of the right people to have a flawless, efficient process from start to finish and I'll definitely be using them again in the future for the other services they provide, if and when we need them! :) Thank you for a great experience and I'm so glad I chose your company!"

"Vince and his team are over the top GREAT!! I can't say enough about the tremendous job they did on my deck. I have a deck that over hangs a walkout basement. They super pressure washed it and stained it. They were in constant contact with me so I knew when and how things would happen. I strongly recommend V. R. Holinka."

"Nick was honest about what to expect. Wear is showing after a couple winters But he did a great job. My deck looked beautiful when it was done. He also did several other painting projects on the exterior that turned out better than I could imagine."

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

The ideal PSI (pounds per square inch) for a pressure washer depends on the surface you are cleaning. For general home use, a pressure washer with a range of 2,000 to 3,000 PSI is recommended and powerful enough for most residential projects.

The specific PSI you should use varies by task:

  • High-Pressure Tasks (2,500-3,000 PSI): Tough materials like concrete, stone, masonry, and brick can handle higher pressures. This is suitable for removing stubborn stains from driveways or cleaning graffiti.

  • Low-Pressure Tasks (around 600-1,300 PSI): Softer surfaces require a gentler touch to avoid damage. Use a low PSI setting for cleaning wood decks (especially softwoods like pine and cedar), vinyl siding, outdoor furniture, and stucco.

For best results, choose the right nozzle for your surface, such as a 15-degree nozzle for siding or a surface cleaner attachment for driveways. Using an extendable wand can also make the work easier and more ergonomic.

Yes, biodegradable cleaning agents and water-saving techniques minimize environmental impact.

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where it will be stored. If it's kept in a location where temperatures could drop to freezing, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage to the machine. To prevent this, you can add antifreeze to the pump. While emptying the machine with compressed air is an alternative, it can be a tedious process and may not remove all the liquid. If you can store the pressure washer in a relatively warm place with no risk of freezing, you won't need to add antifreeze. However, regardless of storage conditions, it is good practice to empty the gas chamber and refresh the oil before storing it for the winter.

Yes, you can pressure wash with just water. The force of the water alone is often enough to remove dirt, grime, and debris from many surfaces. However, for tougher stains like grease, mildew, or algae, adding a detergent or cleaning solution can enhance the cleaning power. Be sure to use the appropriate nozzle and pressure settings for the surface to achieve the best results without causing damage.

Yes, pressure washers can remove rust stains from concrete. However, when coupled with an acid treatment, they can be even more effective. Just be sure to use a minimum of a 15-degree nozzle to prevent damage to the surface, and users must also be careful not to get in the way of the pressure washer’s jet as they can cut through skin and cause injury.
