He is willing to listen but, also gives great advise if there could be a potential problem later on. Jim communicated daily with us as to the progress and what to expect next. "Previous piering companies had tried and failed to solve our sinking foundation problem with undersized piers. After researching available options and getting quotes from a few companies, we chose Expert House Movers to excavate around our foundation, install custom made piers to support the weight of our house (full masonry, stone foundation, slate roof and terazzo floos) and spray a rubberized coating on the below ground portion of our foundation to stop future water penetrations in our stone foundation. They showed up promptly, performed the necessary work in a timely matter and were careful of the landscaping we wanted to keep. The job itself took longer than anticipated mostly due to additional work needed once the foundation was exposed (tuckpointing, new window wells, etc). There was minor damage to the sprinkler system and the water service line, but we were compensated for the damage by EHM. My only complaint was the amount of old drainage pipes and broken concrete that was left on site during the work and not removed until the end of the job.

"When giving a window of time they would be there, they always ran hours late, causing me to miss hours of work on several occasions. When I viewed the project after the trench was dug and the gravel was laid and the plastic diversion material was in place, it was obvious that many of the holes they drilled were ABOVE the plastic material. I questioned the owner and he said the cinder blocks had cement in the base and they had to drill above that. He also said he would have his cement man make sure to raise the height of the plastic to cover the holes. It didn't happen. Concete was poured and the holes showed in a dozen instances! I asked that they redo the work and they agreed. Then when they came out to redo it they called and asked if we REALLY wanted them to do it and basically talked us out of it. They put up another barrier behind the cemented in one which could easily slip out. They gave us a written guarantee to replace not only the drain tile but our carpeting if water came in.
