As you might imagine, a significant remodel and addition to a 60-year old home is likely to bring with it surprises and our remodel was no exception. Despite the many challenges encountered, Johnson and Son and their subcontractors readily overcame them. Among the many lessons we learned during our remodel was the value of quality subcontractors. Vic's relationship with his subs in some cases extend more than a decade and the depth of these relationships was reflected by the quality and timeliness of their work. First of all, the owner is great to work with. He showed up everyday to make sure everything went according to plan. He was very meticulous and brought out a structural engineer several times to make sure that things were done safely and we wouldn’t have any problems down the road. He always had great ideas and what I appreciated was that he wasn’t always trying to upsell you and had cost in mind because re-modeling projects always have unexpected surprises.
