We need to do it during frozen ground. And meanwhile the work never was completed. I asked them to complete the work they said oh we’re gonna charge more and by the way we can’t get it to it until January. Of course that meant the ground would be frozen and I face more of charges. I am 62 years old and this is the worst business I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Avoid them at all cost!"

And since a new septic system costs between $3,460 and $11,450, it’s worth following these guidelines.

Most shallow residential wells are somewhere between 25 and 50 feet deep. They are among the simplest well systems. Deeper wells usually involve drilling to a much greater depth. Water wells for household use are typically 100 to 500 feet deep, depending on local groundwater conditions. Some may be up to 1,000 feet deep or more. 

A septic tank always has some amount of liquid in it—which should usually be 8 to 12 inches from the top of the tank. If the liquid level is higher than that or is overflowing the drainage pipe that leads out to the leach field, the tank may be too full and in need of pumping.
