"I needed stucco repair work on an old chimney (and other spots). Grady was meticulous and thoughtful on what approaches and materials would work. Throughout the project they allocated sufficient time for each treatment to cure and inspected the work before proceeding to the next step. Grady started the project with no money down and only required ongoing payments for materials until the project was well underway. The final payment was due only after they did a final inspection. Total project cost was also below other bids."
"I found Hipp Masonry online from these Angie's list reviews and gave him call. Chuck quickly gave me a call back told me he would come out as soon as possible. Although he seemed extremely busy, Chuck still took the time to come out to the house on a Friday night around 6PM to take a look at the house. After looking at the crack he was very honest in telling me how to fix the crack (approx 5ft) myself to keep rain water from running into the walls. He also offered to do it himself and gave me a great assessment of exactly what was happening with the wall. He also didn't charge me anything for the assessment. It's not very often you find a business man willing to come out on a Friday night and then be completely honest in helping you save money. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. When the time comes where I do need extensive masonry , I'll be calling Hipp Masonry back. "
"Made an appt. with Castle Rep, James, for 17 windows and vinyl siding. He spent 1 hour talking about how great his company and windows are before finally getting down to the issue. We were told that CASTLE makes and services their own window, with all the best technology and technicians available. The price per window for energy efficient came out to over $1,200 per double-hung window! And since they make their own products, we could not find a way to compare quality and price with other manufacturers. But his per-window price exceeds the average price of $500-700 by A LOT! When we balked, he made a call to his "manager" to see if we qualified for a "special promotional" discount. If we were to commit right there on the spot, we would get an additional 10% off! Still way to high. We said we would think about it (he got sad and snippy), and that we wanted to hear about the vinyl siding quote before we made any decisions. He told us he could not give us a siding quote until his company did an "eagle view" measurement, which would require another appointment! We had no intention of sitting through ANOTHER high-pressure appointment. High pressure, long-drawn out presentation and he would not leave us with anything in writing! No brochures, prices, nothing! He refused to put anything in writing and we could not have a break down of labor and costs. I even asked him if I could have a copyhh of the window warranty and he said "only if you purchase right now." And they did not come prepared with references or previous job locations! When we further researched the company, we found they did make very excellent products, but the #1 complaint was by far that they did not honor their lifetime warranty and that customer service was horrible. In the end, we chose not to do business.."

"Everything was done very well; removal of old sunroom materials, installation of new wall and roof over additional roof area. All wood work was very well done, installation of new glass and new structural roof! All done well. Exception was the new roof! Here the interfacing of new roof with existing roof was not done well. All the construction was completed at end - literally in last week of 2015; all seemed well for first winter of 2016, then in spring of 2016 the roof began leaking at or near the interface of new with the existing roof. I called Mr. Bart Scesney, the Senior Design Consultant , overseeing the project and reported the leak. He promised a fix. Then through the summer of 2016 the leak seemed to resolve itself but with return of winter the roof leaked through the winter of 2016 -2017. I called Mr. Scesney again and again received a promise of a repair; nothing happened. Again in winter of 2017-2018 leaks occurred, again I called with the same null response. Finally in the fall of 2018 I sent an email to Mr. Scesney with a copy to the President of TRS, Mr. Joe Henley. Again a promise of a repair but no response. Thus, this complaint to Angie's list and the same to the Better Business Bureau. Next will be a formal legal proceeding to sue the company for the cost of an urgent repair. Really hate to take this action because all other aspects of the work was so well done. But I must stop the leak; I have a cathedral ceiling and as a result a leak comes directly into my home."

Stevie is a fantastic person and moreover a conscientious and hardworking contractor. His fees were reasonable and he stayed within budget.
